So I'm going to ramble post here, because this stuff is amazing, and we should do this for every OC we ever use ever. For the sake of reference, it's all from <http://writeworld.tumblr.com> which is frankly kind of an amazing website. Basically, it's a guide to figuring out your character's attributes, and layering them properly. It's amazing and fantastic in every single way and you end up with this:

LAYERED ATTRIBUTES (Balanced): Kraven

Peak Vice: Pride - a haughty attitude shown by somebody who believes that he or she is better than others

Second Tier Attributes:
•Mercilessness - very harsh in the judgment and treatment of others; showing no compassion toward somebody or something; to continue at a high level of violence or unpleasantness without pause or relief
•Self-confidence - belief of one’s own power, judgment, ability, etc.
•Cruelty - deliberately and remorselessly causing pain or anguish; bringing about pain and distress
•Perspicacity - intelligence manifested by being astute; the capacity to assess situations or circumstances shrewdly and to draw sound conclusions

Third Tier Attributes:
•Assertiveness - aggressive self-assurance; given to making bold assertions
•Rage - sudden and extreme anger
•Detachment - cool-headed withdrawal; avoiding emotional involvement
•Callousness - showing no concern that other people are or might be hurt or upset

Go here (http://writeworld.tumblr.com/choosingvandv) and follow the links to the virtues and vices page, copy them all to a word document, then go ahead and follow the instructions (remembering that when you're choosing your peak attribute, you choose either a vice or a virtue, not one of each).

To get your third-tier attributes, go do layering (http://writeworld.tumblr.com/layeringvandv) and then you'll have this amazing character reference thing! I think we should seriously consider adding these to our character profiles on the creation page.
