"We could do that" Mori spoke up. "I'll start building a pyre, if that's alright?" He looked over to Yuki and Amaterasu briefly to check that that was what had been decided on.

Yuki just grunted and Amaterasu stood, she smiled to Mori. "That would be a huge help."
She glanced around for the ninja.

Sadaharu moved to help Mori shifting the wood they had gathered earlier and piling it up into a pyre. Raven was on the edge of the clearing, arms crossed stiffly over his chest and eyes hard.

Amaterasu Sat herself by his side. She looked ahead and didn't speak. She wanted to be there for him like he was there for her when she needed him.
She sat there, not wanting to make him angry but wanting to see what he's do.

Yuki moved off and sat his back against a tree, turning the necklace over in his hand. he couldn't bring himself to put it on and he couldn't bring himself to throw it away.
He licked his lips, turning it over in his hands still.

Raven let his eyes shut and gave a small sigh, closing the ring given to him in his palm.

Sadaharu left Mori to finish off stacking up the wood and moved to Yuki, sitting down beside him and pulling him into a one-armed hug. He squeezed his friend's shoulder.

Amaterasu took his closed fist into her hand and squeezed it gently.

Yuki opened Sadahars hand and placed the necklace into it and looked away quickly.

"Yuki, you're going to keep this" Sadaharu said softly, eyebrows furrowed in worry as he rubbed Yuki's shoulder.

Raven glanced down at their hands and then, in almost childish curiosity, looked back up at her. It seemed so strange to him, the she was sitting here instead of with Yuki. His eyes softened.

"I'll keep it, I just don't want to see it right now." Yuki said.

Amaterasu looked over into his face and smiled softly at him. "This is what friends do."

Raven made a noise that could be taken for a laugh and moved the ring to his other hand, so as to hold hers.

Sadaharu nodded and fell silent, watching Mori as he finished tying off the stack of wood and the tinder. "There" Mori said and stepped back.

Amaterasu threaded her fingers threw his. "Come on, you think your up for it?"

Yuki stood and walked over to the dead old man. He ran his hand down the mans cheek.

Raven walked over but stopped when he reached the man's side and set his jaw.

Yuki handed the torch to Raven, not having the strangth to do it himself.

The old man lay, ready to be burned. As much as a dead man could be.

Raven stared down at him for a time and Mori was just starting to think that the ninja wouldn't do it when Raven set the pyre alight. The flames licked over the kindling that Mori had set out and soon the entire thing was burning, smoke drifting into the sky.

Amaterasu folded her hands in front of her and started the final chant given to the monks. Her voice was soft.

Yuki wipped his eyes, taking a deep he said his goodbye and turned away.

Raven hesitated for a moment, nails digging into his palms before he muttered a quick goodbye, deciding that now wasn't a good time to attempt a speech like that.

Amateras reached out and took hold of his hand before he drew blood. Her eyes caught Yuki's and he gave her a reassuring smile before leaning against a tree.

"You'll be alright Yuki?" Sadaharu asked quietly, standing beside him and reaching out to touch his arm.

yuki nodded, his fingers rubbing warmth into themselfs.

Amaterasu walked away from the burning monk and looked into the trees.

Kietsu smiled slightly as he watched the girl by his side, he had only just woken to find that both Saiyu and Anei had drifted off, Throwing a soft glare at Zetsubou he concluded that the other was still brooding.

Smiling to himself he nuzzled the girls hair before just settling down to watch her.

Mentaro continued to run and before he knew it he was screaming as he flailed to the hard ground below.

He turned around and started yelling at th person, demon, object that he had tripped over,shaking his fist.

Staring in quiet bewilderment, Zetsubou blinked twice before raising a hand to point at Mentaro.

"It's...you?"

"AH!" Mentaro yelled before hiding behind the biggest thing in sight. He peeked out and waved a hand. "Shoo, shoo!"

Snorting grumpilly Kietsu peered behind himself to see...Mentaro?

Mental gears grinding to a halt he stared at the cat before huffing loudly again, causing Anei to grumble and stare blearilly around her.

mentaro screamed again and ran up a tree. "Away!" He yelled, shooing them away with his arms. He closed his eyes tight and waited a few seconds before cokcing on eye open.
