"You don't know that" Sadaharu snapped, glaring up and leaning protectively over Yuki. "He'll be fine, he'll wake up." He insisted with a hint of desperation.

"Get it through your skull boy!" Amaterasu snapped. "Boys in a coma! We need to find a place for him, he'll wake in his own time."

"The village is a while from here" Taro said quickly. "It might be better to get him somewhere close by for a time, until he's at least healed." Mori nodded and cast a last glance over Ayama before taking a deep breath. "There's got to be shelter somewhere nearby." Sadaharu held Yuki close. "Well, let's get him somewhere better than this at the least."

Amaterasu started to walk towards the said village.

Mori laughed and rose his drink in response to whatever the person he didn't know said. Frankly, he had no idea either way, but everyone else had recieved the words with a cheer, and he wasn't about to leave him hanging. Whoever he was. The tavern girl, Rin, passed mori another drink and he grinned at her

Sadaharu was fast asleep in a chair beside Yuki's bed, head slumped against his chest. He didn't dare move from his friend's side any longer than nessecary in case he woke. He simply couldn't.

Amaterasu sat talking to Elizabeth as the latter chooped up some potatos to serve with the dinner that night.

The twins were of playing in some corner but truth be told, Amaterasu didn't care. She would either take a few of the spuds and make Yuki her own meal, or she would steal Elizabeths food and feed him that.

She was too nice a sister.

Taro walked into the kitchen and cast the two women a tired smile. "Evening. Need any help?" He asked, picking up a knife.

"I'd love some help." Elizabeth smiled. "Oh and Ama, some potatos are over there for you."

Amaterasu smiled thankfully and collected the Potatos, leaving the hut.

Taro chopped up the rest of the vegetaable products and made nonsense conversation as he did so.

Elizabeth smiled at him. "Is something bothering you?'

Amaterasu made her way back to Yuki's comatose hut.

"Mori's been at the tavern all day. I'm just wondering how well demon's can hold their liquor." He said with a shrug. "Not really bothering me as of such." He said and scraped the sliced food into the cooking pot.

Sadaharu woke as soon as Amaterasu opened the door and glanced first to Yuki. No change. He moaned slightly and shook his drowsiness from his head. "Ama, hey."

Elizabeth nodded. "I understand." She smiled softly at him. "You look tired."

Amaterasu walked over and kissed Sadaharu gently on the lips. "Hungry?" She asked, moving over to the kitchen.

"Oh, no." He said and stretched his arms with a yawn. "I ate a while ago." He said aand rose from the chair to stretch his legs.

Taro made a noise of agreement. "A little. Honestly," His voice quietened. "If he doesn't start drinking less I'll get drunk by feeding" He joked as he passed her, prodding the fire.

"Then I'll just feed Yuki." She turned and smiled at him. "You look handsome with worried hair."

"Taro." Elizabeth caught his arm. "Theres something else, isn't there."

Kaoru locked himself in their room for the entire three weeks
refusing food and water

The servents cared for Naoki as he mourned

after a long time he went down to Ayama's grave
and lent against the head stone
'Aya i'm so sorry, this is all my fault. I should have been there for you
I failed you when you needed me most!'
he held his head in his hands and sobbed
'What am I going to do without you? And Naoki? he was only three days old for gods sakes! Its my fault he doesn't have a mother anymore'

he traced the engraving on the stone with his finger
'how can i tell him its my fault your gone?'

"It won't look so good if you look at the knots" He assured her with a grin. "What time is it? About?"

"No, I'm just tired." He winked and tended to the cooking vegetables. "So how was your day then?"

Naoki hardly stopped screaming. He wanted the woman who's breast milk tasted best. He wanted his mother, and even his father. But insted he got a nurse. He didn't mind the nurse. She was nice. She had long hair that was fun to grab.

"Three hours after the sun set." Amaterasu said. "Come here." She motioned him over.

Elizabeth let it drop. "The twins are growing fast and need to be reminded that mud is not a food." She sighed. "But it has been nice having their father around."

Kaoru could here his osn screaming and it resonated in the hole in his chest
he knew he should go to him but it still felt like he was burning
he didn't want to face Naoki until he felt he looked some sembelence of normal.

"Sadaharu moved over to Amaterasu, running a hand through his hair and trying to tease out the worst of the knots.

Taro laughed. "I suppose so. Rhun offered me a mudcake today. I wasn't sure about it, so I told him it was a little undercooked." He grinned. "That was close though."

Naoki continued to cry and scream until finally his wet nursed silenced him and nursed him. The screaming stoppd.

Ayama pulled him between her legs and ran her fingers through his hair, fixing out the knots. She gave him a kiss.

Elizabeth yawned and ran a hand through her once was straight but nowfrizzy hair. "Think you could feed the children for me today? I need some sleep."

"I'll feed the kids, no problem." He said with a smile. "Go get some sleep, I've got it covered."

Sadaharu pulled her into a hug and sighed.

Elizabeth smiled and kissed Taros cheek. "Its good to have you back."

Amaterasu hugged him back. "Are you that worried?"
