Amaterasu's eyes widend when the demon infront of her freaked. She ran.

Already unconcious and oblivious to the world Zetsubou heard naught as the girl ran off.

Etsuko sat on the edge of a small creek, legs curled under her as she trailed her hands through the water. She tilted her head slightly as narrowed her eyes at a bird which landed just beside her, twittering as it regarded the water. In a flash, Etsuko held the still bundle of feathers in her hands, an odd smile on her lips. She placed the dead bird down beside her and hummed softly, looking up to the canopy of leaves.

Amaterasu wrapped her arms around herself and fell to her knees as the tears slowly started to fall. Damn emotions!

"Poor, poor thing. What do we have here?" Etsuko, smiled darkly as she stepped lightly towards Amaterasu. "How wonderful to see you again."

Amaterasu was on her feet at once, she pointed her blade towards the girl. "Get away from me."

Etsuko just smiled. "I was trying to be nice." She rose a finger to her lips. "Can I ask you something?" She continued to walk a wide circle around Amaterasu. "Why does he love you? Why does he even care?" Her eyes darkened. "What did you do to deserve that?" She said, voice sharpening in childish jelousy. "Look at you!"

Amaterasu's eyes darkend. "What do you want? What is it?!"

"Luke," Etsuko said lowly, cocking her head. "He's fascinated by you. Won't even look at me. If you were gone..."

"You jealous bitch! Think I want Luke, the only way I want Luke is dead!" Amaterasu yelled. "You can have him, he's all yours!"

"But that doesn't change anything!" Etsuko snapped. "Whenever I've ever wanted anything, you're always there to make sure I don't get it!" Her eyes flashed. "If you die, everything will be better."

"Can't you see the lack of logic in your plan?!" Amaterasu snapped. "If I die, Luke will blame you for my death. He will hate you more than he does now!"

"Oh, but you're wrong" Etsuko said, snarl twisting into a smile. "He'll love me once he can see me. But we're just playing games now, arent we? Why talk when I should have just killed you?" Etsuko grinned and tilted her head, letting her hair obscure half of her face. "So come on then, play with me."

Amaterasu snarled and spat at the girls feet. "I'd wish that you and Luke would never get together, but I know it will never happen. Go. To. Hell."

"Here comes a Candle to light you to Bed" Etsuko sang in a sing song voice and then grinned, daintily stepping closer to Amaterasu, keeping just enough distance to not put her on the defensive. "Here comes the chopper to chop off your head." She whispered and then darted around AMaterasu and drove a knife into her side, twisting it in before dancing back with a giggle.

Amaterasu gave a cry and fell forward, clutching her side. She had to get away. She ran the bes she could towards Elizabeths house.

Etsuko laughed and dropped back into the trees. Although she was now hidden from sight, she ran alongside Amaterasu, occasionally dashing past and laughing as Amaterasu ran on. It was fun, so entirely fun. And once she'd removed her...

She ran ahead, falling silent for a moment to watch from a branch, a wide grin spreading over her face.

Blood was flowing from her fingers but that didn't stop Amaterasu or slow her down.

She could hear Evelyns childish laughter in the distane and when she arrived in a small clearing, only a few trees infront of her, she opene dher mouth to call out.

"Uh-uh" Etsuko tutted, sweeping in behind Amaterasu and clamping a hand over her mouth, tracing the bladepoint over her back. "That's breaking the rules. You just lost the game" She whispered into Amaterasu's ear. Not waiting another moment, Etsuko drove the blade into Amaterasu's back, murmuring mockingly as she did so.

She smirked slightly as she twisted the blade and then tore it free from Amaterasu's flesh, eyes brightening in exhileration when blood dripped from the new wound. She tightened her grip on the older demoness and then stabbed her again. Once, twice, three times she drove the blade to it's hilt, blood spattering from the numerous knife wounds.

Amaterasu cried out, even though it was muffled. Soon, she couldn't take it anymore and passed out.

Etsuko lowered her to the floor and crouched down over her, scrutinising her features. He thinks you're prettier than me. "You have no idea how hard you made things. You didn't even play properly" She muttered, shaking her hair out of her eyes and smiling at the sky. "No matter. I won anyway." She said and looked down at the woman below her and twirled the bloodied knife in her fingers. "And you lost." The knife flashed and left a gash across Amaterasu's throat, blood instantly dripping down her neck.

Etsuko sat back and wiped the knife clean on the grass, casting a disdainful look over her won dress - now bearing red stains. She stood up and hid the knife back up her sleeve, turning away and walking into the forest, leaving Amaterasu on the floor behind her.

Sometime later, Evelyn ran into her home. "Mummy! Mummy! Aunty Ama's sleeping in red dye outside!" She exlciamed.

Elizabeths eyes widend as realiziation dawnsed on her. The mother of two dropped the knife she was holding and rushed outside. The sight she saw would forever remian in her mind. Blood... Ama's brown eyes and so much blood.

She screamed.

Bleary eyes slowly forced themselves open as strong sunlight finally overtook the shadow that Anei had been napping in. It had been a languid few days of rest after so many of constant travel and now she was at the point where she felt quite lethargic all the time. Smiling slightly she nuzzled into the fur that was currently acting as her pillow as Kietsu snored away.

Her younger human companion was down at the river playing with the stones, rolling them from one hand to another, occationly flicking them into the air with tricks Zetsubou had taught him over the last few years.

Saiyu had become quite adept at his small tricks and both Anei and Zetsubou had taught him the basics of their own prefered weapons, but the boy had soon become obsessed with a weapon he had seen whilst they passed through a village, simply put it was a circular blade attached to a chain, the blade shaped like a hollowed out plate was flicked towards the oponent and with a twist of the wrist was soon returned, Anei had refused to let the young human have his weapon of choice until he had learnt with a more basic weapon of it's range, so now he was befitted with a simple knife ended chain, and spent many of his days simply tossing it back and forth.

Looking around Anei noticed that both Zetsubou and Mentaro were missing, frowning slightly to herself she rose from her impromptu resting place and paced towards the youngest of their group.

"Hey, where are the other?" She questioned with a slight tilt of her head, Saiyu merely replied with a slight shrug of his shoulders.

"um I'm not sure about..Men..Mentoku?...um the cat guy, but Jikei went that way" He pointed off to their left.

"Right" Anei grinned, ruffling the boys hair, "I'll go get him, it's about time we ate anyways"

Shrugging his shoulders in a somewhat distracted way Saiyu turned back to the river and started pawing through different rocks.
