Elizabeth smiled and lay her cheek in his hand. "Don't worry about it. It is not your fault."

Yuki squeezed his hand gently.

"It was, but if you'll let me, I'll do everything to make sure that never happens again." He said, tucking some of her hair back, eyes flitting over her face.

Taro turned around abruptly around and cast Yuki a small smile before letting go of the rat's hand and wlakiing down the stairs without a word.

Yuki lent against the wall for a second before following after Taro.

"Of course." Elizabeth smiled. "If it makes you feel better." Evelyn gaged and climbed off the bed. She picked up Alexander.

"Come on, lets leave these two alone."

Rhun smirked and followed after his sister. Mori gave a small laugh and pulled Elizabeth into a proper hug. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I love you so much."

Taro stopped downstairs when he heard Yuki following him and leant back against the bench, resting his hands on the edge of the bench. "Something the matter?"

Elizabeth smiled and hugged him back. "I love you too Mori."

"Yeah." Yuki nodded. "Whats going on with you?"

"Nothing at all. Everything's wonderful, isn't it?" He answered seriously without moving, eyes trained on Yuki.

Mori kissed her and then returned to hugging her. "No more of those dangerous situations."

"Sure." Yuki said. "If you're a robot."

Elizabeth nodded. "I agree. I think we just need a break for awhile."

"And that's supposed to mean what, exactly? You're not really trying this are you? Let it be."

"Something nice. No demons, or wars, or anything. Just some quiet."

"No Taro because I can tell this isn't you." Yuki stepped closer to him. "What happened to you? When did you become so bitter?"

Elizabeth nodded and kissed him.

"I simply do not know." He said, lifting an eyebrow. "Maybe you know. Then again, maybe none of us know. Secrets; annoying little things aren't they? Ah, here I am talking away, nevermind me, I'm sure there's lots for us to be doing, what with Elizabeth on the mend." He pushed away from the bench and started to walk away.

Mori kissed her back, holding her gently and ruunning a hand through her hair.

"Taro. Stop." Yuki said. "talk to me and this time, talk to me like you used to. Like you trust me."

Elizabeth smiled softly.

"I trust you." He said pausing by the door. "I really do, but right now I need to clear my head." He said, sarcastic tone gone. "I'll be back in a bit."

Yuki sighed and decided not to fight him.

Noting the silence, Taro grimaced and stepped outside, letting the door swing shut behind him. Then he was gone down the street.

Yuki sighed and sat down.

"Alexander." Kate groaned. "What have I told you about leaving your toys lying around?"

Alexander looked down. "Sorry Kate."

"This is the third time. You need to start doing it. Please alex, i can't keep asking you." Kate said. Alexanders jaw clentched. She was acting like his mother.

Taro stopped in his tracks for a moment. Then he smirked to himself and slipped into a side alley to vanish from the main street. He'd just wait. Just wait.

Mori moved so that he was lying down beside Elizabeth and wrapped an arm around her, hugging her close. "How are you feeling, then?"
