Future of the Present.

"David? David, come on, hang on, alright?" Rhun pleaded, eyes blurring with tears. "We're getting you some help."

"Fuck it hurts." David groaned, he fell to the floor.

Rhun held David against him and tore off his jumper, bundling it up and pressing it to the knife wound. "I know, you'll be okay though. It'll... You'll..."

"Fuck, what happened to your face?" David breathed, looking over Rhuns face.

"It'll be fine, don't worry about it." Rhun said, shaking his head and swallowing, wiping a hand clean on his shirt and then touching David's cheek, the other hand keeping on the pressure.

THe paramedics soon arrived, followed closely behind by the police. They checked over Rhun and David before sending both to the hospital.
Elizabeth answered their questions best she could.

Rhun wasn't paying any attention to the paramedics, desperate to be able to see David. He couldn't even hear them properly, all he knew was that David wasn't looking good and they wouldn't get out of his way. They could do whatever to him later, he couldn't really feel it anyway.

The police took Shade, who had pretty much recovered - well, recovered enough to be swearing his head off as they took him into the paddy wagon.

Elizabeth looked away from Shade. She couldn't believe what she had done with him. How they had, had a family. Why did he change so much?

Pretty quickly, Rhun's vision started to blur and darken, and the paramedics won over when he fainted; concussed. He woke up as soon as they arrived back at the hospital and he managed to grab hold of a passing doctor's arm, demanding that he let him go see David.

"That boys in surgery. You wont be able to see him for some time." The doctor said before continuing to check Rhuns different signs and writting them down.

"Christ. Its all my fault." Rhun groaned as he sank back onto the bed, clutching his chest. "Fuck. Is he going to be alright?"

The doctor gave a deep sigh. "We'll see. He was in a bad way."

Rhun started to breathe quickly, shaking his head. "But... He'll be alright."

"Look, you need to rest now. We'll get a nurse to come and see you and keep you updated."

Rhun nodded and dropped back, feeling sick to his stomach.

The doctor walked off.

David groaned and opened his eyes slowly. He was hooked up to all kinds of machines. He was in a room he had never seen. It also hurt to sit up. Actually, it hurt a lot.
"Fuck." He groaned, falling back against his pillows. His hand moved to his stomach and he groaned.

Images flashed before his eyes and he swore again. "Shit, shit, shit!" He flew from the bed and cried out in pain. He had to find Rhun. He had to make sure that the boy was alright. But christ his guthurt.

Elizabeth rushed over to her son and placed ALexander on one of the seats. She pulled Rhun into her arms and hugged him tightly. "Oh my baby, I'm so, so sorry."
Alexander swung his legs and looked around curiously.

They believed that this could hold her. That the drugs could sedate her. That the restraints could stop her. They believed her sanity was questionable and maybe it was, but she didn't have a problem with that.

It wasn't an instituate that held her. The goverment didn't capture her. The state didn't even know this place existed. This was were they held the real dangers of the world. Aparently she was one. In fact, she knew she was one. These people however had underestimated her.

They believed that the prisoner in cell 204 was simply another power mad loony. But they were wrong. She wasn't just another prisoner, she wasn't another loony. She was the worst creature they would ever come in contact with. She would also be the last.

Ayama wasn't the sort tobe kindly to those who decided to hold her.

Clinging to his Mum, Rhun started asking her desperately if she had heard anything about David; close to tears and terrified.

"We need to let him rest darling." Elizabeth said gently. "He's in a stable condition."

"God, why can't he just leave us alone?" Rhun asked in a wavering voice. "What the hell is wrong with him? What did we do to him?"

Taro, vaguely gleeful to be leaving to hospital, was heading down to the main lobby to meet Yuki. That train crash really did have it's benefits, however morbid that might sound. His arm was still in a sling and there was a gauze taped to his cheek but apart from this he was markedly better. Sitting down, he started sorting through his carry bag to find his phone.

Yuki grabbed the chair from behind and smiled. He kissed Taros cheek. "Hey you, ready?"

"We didn't do anything." Elizabeth said sternly. "Your father did this. You didn't do anything."

"Certainly am." He said, looking up to smile at Yuki. "Thanks. Let's get out of here."

"Shouldn't have let him ever see David." Rhun choked out, covering his face. "Damn it."

"Going to walk?" Yuki asked.

"David would have run to protect you anyway." Elizabeth said softly.

"Walk, yes. Run, no." He grinned and got up, pulling his bag over his uninjured shoulder as he started for the doors, linking his arm with Yuki's.

"I know." Rhun said, still hanging onto Elizabeth.

Yuki smiled and led his lover out to the car.

Elizabeth kissed his cheek and held him closer.
