Appearance: 180cm, 62kg. Light coloured skin on the unhealthy side of pale. Hazel eyes and light brown hair that is not too short, but cut around his face - the longest parts reach his cheekbones. He always has shadows under his eyes, and constantly looks tired but still manages to come across as open and friendly regardless of this. He's moderately tall and slim, with only a little muscle definition. Sam has dark self-injury scarring on his left arm, usually concealed by clothing.

Abilities and Weaknesses: Highly skilled medical practitioner (P.H.D. in Medicine, certificate IV in Nursing), capable chef, is fluent in ASL and knows the basics of Capoeira; at least enough to defend himself if he needs to. Suffers from some combination of depression/anxiety, Atrial Fibrillation and un-diagnosed heart failure as a complication of this.

Personality: Quiet, kind, and conscientious, Samuel can be depended on to follow through and usually puts the needs of others above his own. Sam is careful and practical, values security, safety and intellectual prowess above all and refuses to engage in physical violence unless absolutely necessary. He has a well-developed sense of space, his surroundings , his own abilities and is extremely perceptive of the feelings of those around him, always interested in helping others no matter their history or involvement. Despite this, he is constantly trying to overthrow conflicting feelings of resentment and bitterness due to past experiences, and it prone to fatigue, anxiety and even bouts of anger when pushed beyond his capacity or threatened.

Background: Samuel grew up in Manhattan with parents Rachel Nichols (now deceased) who worked in a garment production line, and Bennett Nichols, casually employed in manual labor, in a highly abusive and dysfunctional environment. Bennett knocked Rachel down during an argument when Sam was 13, she suffered extensive head injuries and died that night, leaving Sam living with Bennett until he moved out at the age of 17. Sam was accepted into an accelerated schooling course - sponsored by the school - because of his high I.Q. results and achievements, and started his degree at the age of 16.

When Sam graduated, he immediately accepted an offered position with the mysterious government organisation SHADED as a Medical Practitioner, although the job wasn't at all what he was expecting. His father Bennett is now 57 and resides in Manhattan, having somehow been cleared of charges of third degree battery against both Sam and Rachel, and the murder his wife that were filed when Sam was 13.

Upon defecting from SHADED, Sam sought employment under a fake surname in Phillips Family Practice (he studied with the owner, and they were happy to help out) and took up volunteering in the New York City Free Clinic on the same street. The pay from the Family Practice is small, but enough to cover his rent, medication and the payments for his fake paperwork - a precaution he took to help evade SHADED agents.

Appearance: Fair skinned with pale blue eyes and shoulder-length blonde hair, Taro is a little taller than average and thin, often just on the line of being underweight. He carried himself with casual confidence and is nearly always smiling; appearing consistantly calm and easy-going. Taro has a tattoo of a pair of wings on his back when using concealment charms or suppressing his wings, and a small design of thorns on his left hip.

Abilities and Weaknesses: Taro has the ability to harness and use holy powers (especially the use of light and air) through a personal link to the ethereal plan; in Taro's case, a necklace gifted to him by Tsukuyomi no Mikoto. He can create and use spiritually powered weapons and can also create weak holy barriers. He is capable of flight when not concealing his wings. When his necklace is not in his possession, he has limited or no power depending on the circumstances. He is a brilliant chef. Taro also suffers from merinthophobia (the fear of being restrained).

Weapons: Taro uses holy power as a weapon; utilizing his power as bursts of damaging energy. He is moderately skilled with hand-held weapons.

Personality: Taro externally embodies a carefree and easy-going attitude, appearing comfortable and calmly assertive in nearly any social situation and visibly thriving on the company of others - depending on physical proximity and reassurance from others. He is far more concerned with the well-being of those close to him and is often reckless with his own personal safety. Although he appears outwardly open and earnest, he is highly avoidant and almost anxious when it comes to things like emotional attachment and honesty, and will ardently distance himself very quickly and efficiently from others if he thinks someone is becoming too close to, or too reliant on, himself - becoming withdrawn and intentionally cut-off to the point of mockery the moment that anyone tried to push past this.

Background:

Taro was created about 800 years ago by, and is an acolyte/messenger of, Tsukuyomi no Mikoto, the God of the moon. He is familiar with the earth and the surrounding societies through many sporadic visits for a number of different reasons. He was recently sent down to the earthly plane with the task of protecting a currently unknown human until the Prophecy has either taken place or been averted. He has since been working on fitting himself into the small Rebellion group that he has found himself working alongside, knowing that the human he is meant to be protecting is close by.

Appearance: 6’2 and of sturdy build. His hair is a dark brown (Though it is now lined with grey) which used to be kept tight, but it is now shaggy and unkept. His beard sits close to his face, though it too is unkept. A few odd wrinkles line his strong face. A scar also sits above his left eyebrow from an accident when he was a child.
His eyes are a dull amber.

Abilities: Sandy is able to make any drink known to man, and even a few unknown to those who don’t regular is club. He also knows how to handle a shot gun.

Personality: Sandy is stand-offish. He is blunt and easy to a temper, though he has a good heart and is willing to do anything for those close to him (Which is anyone he employs.)

Background/Education: Sandy spent the first 18 years of his life growing up and working on his family farm in Ohio. His early life was easy. His parents were loving and cared for him a great deal, but even with this Sandy wanted to get away. As soon as he was old enough, Sandy began applying to Collages outside of his state and to his surprise, and his glee he was accepted into NYU. It was here he took up Psychology and found he was rather good at it.
When he turned 20, Sandy met the love of his life. Her name was Claire Karabell and she was just perfect. They met when Sandy was walking down Main street to grab a Coffee before Class. Claire was walking out of one of the buildings when she dropped her wallet, Which Sandy so kindly returned to her. They got to talking and soon they went on their first date at the coffee shop. Within a year Sandy proposed, and within two they were married. The next few years were the happiest of Sandy’s life. He finished his degree and became a Psychologist for children, while Claire set up her own home bakery.
It wasn’t until their fifth year of marriage that they received some news. Sandy could not father children. Though upset, Claire was understanding and helped her husband through his Greif. Though both wanted nothing more than to be parents, they knew it would never happen and so they decided to move on. Two cats and three dogs later, a family was created. Though it wasn’t the family she wanted, Claire never blamed her husband. He would never be able to thank her enough for that.
But Happiness like this was never meant to last. On their 16th wedding anniversary, there house was targeted. Even though it was a special night, Sandy had been forced to work late. During this time, a boy of 16 broke into their home and was shocked to find it occupied. Claire was shot and later died at the hospital. Sandy never forgave himself. He began to drown himself in drink and even to this day, was never able to resurface. He quit his job, sold his house and car and moved into a small apartment in a bad neighbourhood.
It was two years before Sandy even tried. He started with speaking to the man who took his wives life. The talk had been hard, but he realised something through it all. The boy had been going through tough times. He was hungry and had heard that the family was meant to be out that night.
All he needed was help, a place to turn to, get a job at and find haven in. Sandy would never be able to forgive the boy for what had happened, but he decided to put his savings to good use.
He pooled together what he had left and bought an empty lot down an alleyway. At first it was meant to be a bar, but it had somehow slowly turned into a strip club after the girls he employed kept dancing on the tables for extra tips.
Though Sandy was never able to forgive himself for not being home, for not taking Claire to her favourite restaurant like he was meant to, for finding work more important then sixteen years of marriage…. Though he could never forgive himself, Sandy wanted to make sure that no one would ever be in the same situation as that 16yr old boy who broke into his home. The bar was a place for souls who needed help. He would write checks for these people who asked easily, most money earned by his establishment went to youth charities. It wasn’t much, but he was doing what he could.
It was the least he could do, it was all he could do. A part of him thought that maybe if he did these things he would find a place where he could forgive himself, or maybe that Claire would forgive him. He was yet to find that place. So even through all these things, Sandy still dulled the pain by drinking. It was easier than facing the emotions he had been running from for years.

Appearance: Lily is 5’9 and of lean build, (She puts that down to her hyperactivity.) She’s not really anything special. She’s not beautiful, or handsome or even striking. She just is. Her looks are average, her body is average but what she lacks in appearance, she makes up for in personality.
Her eyes are a light blue, which matches her blonde hair that falls just below her shoulders and frames her face with a fringe. She likes to believe she’s from a Viking background because they had those awesome ships.

Abilities: Lily is a fantastic painter and a fantastic conversationalist. She is also extremely hyperactive, which can count as an ability because with too many red frogs, she can run faster than the flash. Well, she feels like she does anyway.
She can also speak Chinese.

Weapons: Whatever she can throw that is on hand. Her aim isn't the best, but she puts a lot of force behind it.

Personality: Lily is kind and caring, though she does suffer from Hyperactivity. On the best of days, she just bounces from one topic to another like a 4 yr old, though with enough sugar she becomes a bouncy, fast talking maniac. She is also creative and finds a way to bring Art and beauty into everyday life.
She is also easily confused.

Background/Education: Lily grew up on the lower east side of New York city. It wasn't that bad a neighborhood, though she never got along with the other kids from there. They found her personality to be weird and a little frightening and never held back on letting her know this. Her parents used to say that she was special, that they were jealous that God had blessed her with her gifts. Though her parents were lovely, they were devout Christians and always tried to push their beliefs onto her. This also never helped with the bullying.
She found her solace in Chinatown, which was close to her parent’s apartment. She spent most of her free time there, just learning and talking to anyone who would talk to her. The people were friendly. She liked that. It was here that she learned three things. Kindness, the Chinese language and introduction to the artistic way. Lily soon found that she loved art and threw herself into it. It was a good way to focus her energy and while still more energetic than most, she began to calm down a lot.
It didn't surprise her parents when she applied to an art school further into the city, though it did disappoint them. They didn't want her exposed to the sins and urges of that life, so of course Lily wanted it more.
Once accepted, Lily was given an option. Stay with her parents and work where they wanted her too, or to start being her own person. She chose the latter. She got an apartment close to the school, a job at a bakery and began to be her own person while doing what she loved.

Abilities: Inodonata is a master of harnessing energy in its most compressed form giving it the look of white-blue lightning. She is a master barrier user and has the ability to teleport, When her wings are released she also has the ability to fly. She is physically stronger than the average human.

Weapons: Inodonata often fashions her energy into the form of two whips. Inodonata relies completely on her powers.

Personality: Inodonata is clinical at best, forming no true attachments her entire life is her godly service and the well being of the world as a whole. Individuals do not concern her and if it is for the cause of the 'greater good' she has no compunctions against murder, no matter whom the individual may be. She finds mortals below her and will avoid being in contact with them if at all possible, preferring to perform her duties from afar.

Background/Education:
Inodonata is one of the oldest of the known servants of heaven the only other known to rival her for age is one of the fallen by name of Kraven. Inodonata is personally responsible for a lot humanities greatest 'calamities'. Her most well known being the destruction of the city of Pompeii. Learning of the priestess' fall of their holy doctorate and subsequent fall into darkness Inodonata had stepped in and deemed the most efficient way to dispose of the rogue power was to destroy the city at large instead of rooting out the individuals and risking their spread into other human settlements to spread their unholy ways. She is unpopular and feared for her perceived cruelty by other Tennin, but she has never done anything outside of what she views for the greater good.

Appearance: Calvin took his looks from model Jamie Doran and his name from the words printed on his underwear, (The only thing he was wearing at the time.) His face is strong with some features being sharp. His hair is brown and kept stylish, while his beard is kept closely shaven to his face.
He is fit, thanks to the picture he first saw.

Abilities: Calvin is able to Teleport and has enhanced senses. He is also able to create barriers, though they aren't that strong.

Weapons: Calvin has basic knowledge of weapons, though is not very capable with them..

Personality: Calvin is still finding himself. He is easily confused, innocent and literal. He is also upfront and doesn't hold back. He’s still learning how to not hurt people’s feelings. But he is caring, though he struggles to show it.

Background/Education: Calvin doesn't have much of a past. He was literally created moments before descending to the earth. He had been created in order to protect one human.
Before his decent, Calvin had been given basic knowledge of languages. That was it. Apparently he was needed immediately and so, had to feel his way around interactions and human mannerisms.

Appearance: Sora is kind of a weedy kid. He is 5’10 and lanky. He doesn’t get out much, so he doesn’t have any muscle tone. His hair is dyed black (his actual hair being a stunning white) while his eyes are a yellowy Amber. He wears large glasses that take over most of his face, but he doesn’t mind.

Abilities: Sora is brilliant with coding. He loves his computers and can hack into anything, if given enough time. He is also able to easily adapt to different environments and climates.

Weapons: Sora’s only weapon is his computer. Yuki tried to train him in using knives once. He was banned from ever going near sharp objects again. The older demon said something about adding to the ‘Friendly-fire’ Statistics.

Personality: Sora is a shy man by nature. He struggles to even utter hello with people he doesn’t know. Those he does know, however he manages a few pleasantries before sitting back and trying to blend into whatever is closest to him. He likes his computers, and he likes his video games. He’s a smart kid with a mind for mathematics and coding. He finds comfort in these more than anything else. If he couldn’t find a person who was more or less a robot, he’d have found his new best friend. He is also quite emotional, having even cried during Green mile the soundtrack.
When he’s drunk however, his whole personality goes haywire. He becomes talkative, extra emotional and even dances. Needless to say, he hates alcohol.

Background/Education: Sora was always a quiet child and was raised in New York by his human mother and Hanuman Monkey demon for a father. He was kept inside for most of his early life, thanks to a slow aging process. He was home schooled by his mother, who was a fantastic teacher. She was also a great woman and understood his dislike of being inside and having only his mother for company. She bought him the first video game platform and computer model as soon as they became available on the market, hoping it would allow her son to grow as a person and maybe find a way to interact better/. His father wasn't one for those things. He was an old fashioned business man from Japan and though he loved his family, he was more or less absent a lot of the time. When he found out that his son was playing with useless things like Video games and learning about computers he became furious. He believed his son should be learning more about how to run a company instead of how to move a ball from one side of a screen to another. Sora’s mother helped to defuse the situation after two days and the boy was allowed to keep his toys.
He became fascinated with them, learning every little thing he could and expanding that knowledge whenever his mother brought home another model. It became his very life. When he wasn’t studying the courses his father laid out (An agreement his mother made to allow him to keep the new technology) he was pulling old models apart, memorizing their coding and seeing what else he could do with it.
It wasn't until his teens that he first began to see the world. It didn’t go very well. Thanks to never interacting with other people outside of family, he found he was unable to properly converse with people. He would stutter, or blush and there was even a time when he peed his pants. When his father heard about he realised his protective parenting tactics may not have been as good as he had hoped. He kicked his son out by forcing him to attended the university and obtain a degree in business management and IT. Those were the best and worst years of his life. He gained more knowledge in the things he loved, while also being forced to interact with the people in his classes.
So Sora hid in his room mostly, realizing how much he missed the solitude of his home. It was here he began to look into video game development and within the year, he had his own Gaming Company where he would sell his creations.
Once his degree’s where obtained Sora went sent into the world to gain some firsthand knowledge of the word. He got his own apartment and well… never left it. He sat inside simply creating his games, hacking into high security websites and computers and… not much else.
It wasn’t until Demons started going missing (His Father included) that he finally begin to do something worthwhile. He began to dig around to see what he could find and while doing so, uncovered a lot of evidence against a company known as “S.H.A.D.E.D.” That’s when he began to look for people who could help. By hacking into Phone signals and emails he began to look everywhere. He found it tedious, boring and sometimes disturbing. He finally struck gold, however when he came across a few demons who appeared as concerned as him. He tracked them down, and after a few bumbling conversations he was a part of their group, giving whatever information he found.

Appearance: Richard is a lean cut boy, very fit slightly taller than a lot of boys his own age at 5'9. His hair a paler blonde cut neatly around his head and always kept immaculately styled. He has bright blue eyes, slightly paler than average skin and is always impeccably dressed in designer brands.

Personality: Richard is your classic pampered rich boy snob, he's spent his entire life having people on his back and call, told he is gifted and better than most. This obviously led to Richard holding himself in a very high esteem. He doesn't think other people are useless,he just thinks that they should naturally defer to him because they can see he is better than them thanks to his upbringing. He can often get caught up in how he wants things to be instead of taking the time actually doing the thing. Richard is an idealist, in theory, that believes everyone should be brought up privileged like himself, even if he makes no effort to help other achieve this. Richard is lonely, but would never admit such to anyone.

Background/Education: Living with his parents, who are often away on business, the people Richard interacts with the most would probably be his tutors and his butler Finn. He gets up, has breakfast, goes to school, studies, returns home, studies some more, eats dinner, studies and then retires to bed. The only change in his routine is his weekends, where he can often be found either studying or shopping. Richard is not particularly studious, but he has nothing else in his life to fill his time and studying is what his parents expect of him.

Appearance: Mori is tall, standing at just under 6’1”, and hold himself at his full height, never slouching and he is muscular through the vigorous training and activity that comes with both his background and current line of work. He carries a slight tan, has blue eyes, and choppily cut black hair , longest at the front.. He dresses simply, usually in a pair of jeans and a black shirt.

Abilities: Proficient in a vast array of weaponry and well-trained in fighting, defense and security, Mori is a professional killer. In his demonic form he has accelerated healing, sharpened senses and highly increased speed, agility and stealth.

Weapons: Mori has a small collection of pistols and knives, favoring close range weapons where possible. He is trained in boxing and street-fighting, and more than capable of using random objects as weapons when necessary.

Personality: Although Mori often comes across as mistrustful and more often than not grouchy and unapproachable, he is just really bad at expressing affection and emotion, and is actually caring and extremely protective of those he cares about - though he sometimes completely misses emotional cues of others unless they are made extremely obvious. He is driven entirely by a sense of moral duty and responsibility to ensure the safety and security of those around him (especially those in his somewhat ramshackle family), and holds personal accountability and practicality above everything else. He is highly suspicious of unfamiliar people and situations, always looking for potential threats and is very rarely off guard. He usually keeps his emotions under check, but occasionally falls into extremely foul moods.

Background/Education:
Mori was raised in a very traditional way in one of the remaining Samaria clans in Japan in one of the few demon-claimed territories that was refusing to blend in with human society. Here he was a militant trainer for the Samaria clan, and eventual bodyguard for the leading family. Circumstances led to his oath transferring to Satori, and they both fled. Since then they have been working as mercenaries, constantly moving as more countries became accessible to travelers along with Mori's adoptive niece and nephew Anei and Zetusbou and Satori's children, Sadaharu and Etsuko. They finally ended up in New York, drawn to the rumors of an entire human organisation that was both aware of demons and otherworldly beings and systematically destroying them. Mori has the equivalent of year 12 qualifications and received training in personal security and defense at the BSTA (Bodyguard and Security Training Academy).

Appearance: Subjects appearance has become altered. Though he keeps his jet black hair, his eyes have become a sort of glowing red. His teeth have become razor sharp, and his nails have grown to resemble claws. His body also remains in perfect condition, even though food, water and exercise have otherwise stopped.
Though the findings are troubling, his other features remain the same. His height, 6’2 remains unchanged, as does his shoe size.

Personality: Subject’s personality is proving to be a problem.  Due to some unforseen side effects of some of the failed implants, Subjects behaviour is erratic, almost rabid.
Thanks to the Control implant, Subject is now able to be calmed with a simple command, though his anger is still evident.

Background/Education: Subject was obtained from parents at the age of six. Due to the low traces of demonic coding within his DNA, Subject has proved both useful and insightful when it comes to completing tests.
Though Humans can gain some certain enhanced abilities from the implants, it appears that those with very small amounts of demonic ancestry take to the testing better than others.
Parents will no longer be an issue in containing the subject. The head has been giving some very generous donations to the family in order for them to keep things quiet.



Successful Tests completed to date:
001: Accelerated healing. Success. Subjects healing rate has gone further than expected. With further implants, Subject will not even notice any damage to their body.
003: Speed. Success. With the second implant, subject’s movements have become undetectable. Due to implant 001, stopping the Subject had proved tricky. The only method that worked was high voltage electric shock.
006: Healing. Success. Mixing the two implants has determined what was already believed. Subject no longer feels the pain of the inflicted damages to his body.
Electric shock still manages to stabilize him.
024: Camouflage. Success. Due to a mixture created of many different demon bloods, subject is now able to change the physical body, as well as mimic different voices.
078: Hand to hand combat and strength. Success. Subject’s fighting ability has jumped. Subject is now able to fend off any assailant using only his hand. Next, weapons.
102: Advanced weapons training. Success. Using DNA coding given by the world’s leading assailants, Subjects DNA coding has been altered. Subject is now a master at any sword given, as well as most guns.
203: Control. Success. It is unknown about whether or not the Subject is manipulating results, but it appears that the control implant has been successfully taken. After many simulations, Subject will halt when ordered, attack when commanded and will even speak and bark like a puppy when instructed. 206: Telepathy/Enhanced hearing. Success. The combined implant has proved to work better than the failed separate ones. Subject is now able to hear things that have been uttered rooms away and is even displaying signs of thought reading. This could prove useful in the field.

Subjects true form has become altered. It appears that the implants have brought forth the otherwise buried demonic traits. Subject’s eyes, fingers and teeth have changed drastically. Claws and fangs have sprouted and his eyes glow a somewhat troubling red. Any future testing has been put on hold.

Appearance: Tall for her age, having hit her growth spurt early, she hunches in on herself a lot, disguising her height to avoid too much undo attention.
Her hair is dyed black and sits past her shoulders, she has blue eyes and tends to wear black as much as possible. She doesn't wear much make-up, opting for a little eyeliner and sometimes even lipstick.

Abilities: Ren is a spiritual magic user, though only new to discover this ability she spends a lot of her free time researching it's aspects. She has a mentor and is slowly progressing in her studies. She is now able to astral project for short amounts of time and even play visitor to some peoples dreams.

Weapons: Anything in reach is usually used as a makeshift weapon, she hasn't learnt how to use her powers as a weapon yet.

Personality: Ren tries to be very self reliant, organizing her schedule studiously, the majority of her time is spent studying or working. She thinks she is very well informed of how the world works, but is actually quite naive in her confidence.
She's prickly to strangers and would rather not make friends.

Background/Education:
Ren currently is enrolled at a public school but she is constantly studying and applying for scholarships, hoping to get herself a better start at life.
Her home life is a wreck and she avoids her father at all costs due to his violent outbursts, and finds herself looking after her mother more often than not.
Her brother, Raven, left home and Ren, over time, has come to begrudge him greatly for it, barely even speaking to him if possible, even though he has partial guardianship over her.
