Back to ze past

Sadahru made a noise of suprise as he was yanked from the floor. "Hey, cheating!" He said through a laugh. 'Put me down!"

"Take a deep breath." Yuki smirked before jumping over a closeby cliff into a deep river.

"Hey-" Sadaharu quickly cut himself off and took a breath as Yuki launched the both of them off the cliff. Now that was unfair. He did say swimming, not cliff diving right? He mentally shrugged as they plunged into the water.

Yuki removed Sadaharu from his shoulders and smiled at the boy from under the water before he swam to the surface

Sadaharu trod water and attempted to look irritable. "Now I'm drenched!" He said, shook out his hair and grinned, unable to keep the expression. "Good job."

Yuki ruffled the boys hair and swept in for a small kiss. "You said swimming, so get swimming."

Momiji sighed and asked her mother if they were there yet

Hikaru stopped "No and its getting late. So choose, do you want to sleep in a tree or in the ground?"
Momiji scowled "Don't wanna"

Kuroi rolled his eyes at both of them from his spot in the aforementioned tree, and held his hands out to his daughter "hand her over"

Hikaru passed Momiji then turned into a fox and set about digging under the trees roots

a few miutes later Hikaru had installed her self in her make-shift den
and Kuroi had secured himself and Momiji in a fork in the tree where she wouldn't fall out
while asleep
"Oyasumi" the little girl called sleepily to her mother

"Oyasuminasi Momiji-chan"

He shook his head in amusement and dove underwater, testing out how long his lungs could hold up while he was human. The result kept him a little closer to the surface. "Working on a story yet?" He asked, surfacing and splashing water at Yuki. "Now our clothes are soaking."

"Fell into a river." Yuki smirked. "While we were fishing of course."

"Of course. That's something your clumsiness would allow" He smirk and kicked back, floating on his back.

"Maybe so." Yuki said, circling around the young boy. "But guess who fell in after me?" He dunked Sadaharus head under the water.

Sadaharu swam under and gave Yuki's leg a yank, dunking the rat. He came up with his wet hair completely curtaining his face. "Maybe I dove in to save you." He laughed.

Yuki grabbed Sadaharu around the middle, shaking his hair. "Maybe you slipped after me yeah?"

He sniggered and rose a hand to move his hair out of the way. "Sure." He grinned, placing a hand to Yuki's shoulder so he didn't sink whilst he tried to get his vision back.

"See, now we have a story." Yuki grinned.

Sadahru nodded. "A story. Good. At least we'll have that." He smiled at Yuki.

Yuki took in a deep sigh. "We should get back...."

Sadaharu quirked a small smile and swam to the shore of the river, pulling himself out and taking off his shirt to wring it out. "We probably should." He said and squeezed some water out of his dripping hair.

Yuki sighed as he pulled himself from the water. "So... Friends?" He asked awkwedly.

Sadaharu hung his shirt over his shoulder. "Friends." He said and forced up a smile. If they were going to just try and make everything like before, they had to start somewhere. He didn't have to like it though. He grimaced.

Yuki nodded and moved in to kiss the boy before stopping and stepping around his younger friend. "Come on, Ama will be worried."

Sadaharu's eyes flashed with guilt, but he moved forwards and reached for Yuki's hand as they walked. His gaze fell to his feet.

The rat took the hand in his own and kissing Sadaharus fingers gently. "Just don't think about it. Remember, we have to go back to being normal."

"I know" He said softly and rose his other hand to run it through his hair. "It's just... I know." He shook his head and tightened his grip on Yuki. "At least you're not about to bash my head in for it." He said and gave his older friend a small smile.

"Well I don't know about that." Yuki joked and let his hand slide from Sadaharus. The hut stood infront of them.
