Back to ze past

Sadaharu moved over to him with a soft word of thanks, huddlling up against Yuki and taking a slow breath, dripping shirt held over his face. "You tried this how many times before you did it?" He asked, shaky voice seeming to hold an edge of amusement.

Yuki plled the boy closer. "Loads but unlike my experience, you have someone who knows where your coming from."

"I see how that might make a difference" He said with a grimace, leaning into Yuki's warmth.

Yuki smiled and held onto Sadaharu tight, looking into the river.

((You'd rather college? Are you insiane! I'd take boredom any day!))

"Luke, Luke! I got the necklace for you!" Etsuko said, smiling brilliantly as she appeared in front of him, holding out the artefact.

"Lets take a look." Luke said, spinning in his chair to look at her, he took the necklace. he held it up. "Its a peice of jewlery."

"No! It's the artefact that you were looking for. One of them anyway. I got it for you! It's the one!" She exclaimed.

"Oh really? And ahh..." Luke sniffed. "What does it do?" He rose an eyebrow.

"Well... try it on." She suggested. "They're meant to be powerful when they're all together..." She shrugged lightly. "I'm sure it would work for someone like you." Etsuko grinned.

Luke shrugged slightly and placed the necklace on his neck. He smiled charmling. "How do I look?"

"Stunning!" She beamed. "Is it doing anything?" She reached out a hand to touch it.

Luke swung back around, his back now facing her. "Your rooms ready down the hall." He placed the quill into his mouth.

"Oh..." Her hand slowly dropped to her side and then a smile spread over her face. "Okay!" She practically flew out of the door. He didn't go back on it. That was a start!

Once Yuki had enough for the group's dinner, Sadaharu stood up. "Going back now?" He asked, not relenquishing Yuki's shirt which, once he'd finished the sentance, was back over his face.

Luke shuddered after her. She was so creepy.

His hand moved over the necklace around his neck and likcing his lips, he lifted the red ruby to eye level. "What is it you do..."

"I'm gonna need that back mate." Yuki smirked. "Now, as much as you like seeing my naked chest, I don't know if everyone will appreciate the sight."

Sadaharu passed the shirt back with a smirk, raising his hand to his head again. "You caught me."

"How are we going to explain this one?" Yuki asked, waving the now wrinkled shirt about. He put it back on.

"Can't think. You think of something." He said. "Fish demon. Killed a fish demon" Sadaharu grinned slightly.

"Then why arnt my pants wet?" Yuki teased, poking Sadaharu between the eyes.

"It tried to steal your shirt." Sadaharu supplied, leaning against a tree.

Yuki's eyes trailed across the boys form. He shook his head. "Come on, we should head back."

He nodded and started to walk back to the camp, mind running over all the possible ways he could get to one of those vials. But then the person walking beside him managed to intrude every thought trail. Damn rat. Sadaharu grimaced.

"Sadi..." Yuki sighed, running a hand through his black hair. "Your acting different around her. Stop it."

Sadaharu looked suprised and his stomach knotted. "I'm not trying to." He said quickly. "I'm not. It's just... Oh god, I don't know what I'm meant to do now." He said and looked away, continuing to walk with his arms now wrapped around himself again.
