"Kaoru your confusion is uncalled for." Ayama sighed. "Just stop thinking. You might hurt yourself."

"Aya your worrying me. when have I made you feel like I do not love you?"
he asked beseechingly

"I know you've loved me and that you do." Ayama sighed, rolling her eyes. "But by saying the word 'always' it concludes that you have loved mesince the beginning, since we first met."

He reached out and touched her cheek, smiling softly
"I did, but we were both mourning someone very close to us"

Ayama locked her eyes with his. "Then why did I have to seduce you?"

he laughed "mostly disbelief, I couldn't believe that you would be remotely interested in me. And i was a little bit afraid of you, you can be quite scary when you want to"

"Stories from that damn sister of yours I bet." Ayama laughed.

"sort of, Hikaru did speak of you a lot but it was mostly good she was your friend after all. I was terrified that i would wake up and it would all have been a dream, still am to some extent."

"I'm not that good." Ayama rolled her eyes.

"I still can't see why you would love some one like me!
It defies my logic, Your too good for me"
he kissed her again, grateful that she had stayed by him

Ayama hummed against his lips and pulled away.

Kaoru patted Naoki on the head and sat back in his chair

Naoki yawned and started to cry again.

Kaoru looked wounded and muttered something that sounded like
'muttermutterdoesn'tlikememuttermyownsonmutter"

Ayama sighed. "Burp him Kaoru."

Kaoru picked the child up and patted his back gently

Naoki let out a little burp.

Kaoru cocked his head to one side
"I do good, yes?" he asked cheerfully

Ayama sighed. "You did good."

Kaoru smiled happily and continued patting Naoki

By the time they reached the lake, Taro had slipped back into his normal routine of irritating a silent mori. Sadaharu was walking behind them, keeping an eye on Yuki whilst Raven follwed atthe end of the group.

Yuki rubbed the back of his head as he looked into the lake. "Well, Who's diving?"

"I could," Mori offered "It's probably at the bottom somewhere, right." Taro grinned.
"Mori-puu would be able to do it! I'll hold your shirt!" He cheered. Mori scowled.
"Why don't you do it you moron."
"Mori-chii wants to see Taro-daddy without a shirt!" He whooped. Mori bashed him over the head. "Actually, I can't swim" Taro admitted. "So I'm not doing it." He grinned and crossed his arms.

"And I'm not doing it." Yuki stepped away from the water. "Need to keep dry, a wet rat is never a happy rat. But I think Sadaharu should do it." Yuki grinned and stepped behind Sadaharu, ruunning his hand across the boys stomach as he lifted the boys shirt.

Sadaharu quickly sidestepped, cheeks flushing red. "Hey, I don't like swimming!" He objected, shaking his hair over his face. Thankfully, Mori didn't notice as he was too busy attacking Taro.

Yuki pouted, and there was a look in eyes eyes for Sadaharu only that said 'you know I'll get that shirt off in a few hours.'
But the Rat moved off over to the Ninja, he threw his arm over Ravens shoulder. "You should swim. I hear a face mask can acttually help Humans breath underwater."

"I'm human, I can't hold my breath as long as you lot." He sighed. "And cloth doesn't have magical abilities." He shook his head. Sadaharu turned to look at Amaterasu.

Amaterasu rolled her eyes and in one fluid movment, stripped down to her under clothes and dived into the water with a Splash

"Well that settles is then." Taro said with a shrug, leaning back against Mori who scowled and shoved him away. "Hands to yourself." Mori grumbled. "Wonder how long this'll take."

Yuki shurgged and let go of Raven. "If my sister dies down there, I get your head." And thus, Yuki stuck his tongue out in mock playfullness. He went to hang woth Sadaharu and maybe remove his shirt a few hours before sedual.

Sadaharu was careful to keep a small distance between him and Yuki lest the rat's oddly careless actions put them in a difficult position. Moreso. Raven sat down to watch the lake, arms around his knees.

The girl swam lower and lower. The water around her seemed to have a mind of its own as it fought against her. Amaterasu knew then why she hated the unknown force that was water. Calm one moment, innocent. Then in a blink of an eye it would rage, become mad with its own power.

Oh yes, there was power in this water and she knew it the closer she got to its source. It burned, it burned her skin and her eyes. Her lungs felt as if they would explode from the heat filling her. She kept moving on.

What if she was looking in the wrong area what if- The voices,is that what her mother felt when she was mad. The voices that filled your mind andtold you the false yet believable truths. They whispered, they taunted and they haunted.

Amaterasu refused to believe, or rather focused on the shining red ruby that lay just out of arm reach. Bubbles surrounded her nd as her fingers closed around the ring, above on the surface the water exploded.

Sadaharu and Mori ran towards the edge of the lake, the former yelling at the water as if that would help him spot Amaterasu. Raven ran up beside them, eyes frantically searching out the demon and Taro stayed where he was, panic ghosting over his features. Water was bad.

Against all inner protests of caution, Yuki ran over to the lake and started to remove his clothes. His eyes searching the water frantically for his sister as he did so.

A hand surfaced and just after that, a loud gasp and a wet cat. The hand disapeared and was replaced with a paw. The ring was in the cats mouth.
