Future of the Present.

Hikaru gave him a finger wave "Ohayou gozaimasu Taro-san." she said pleasently
"Its so good to see you again."
Kitamaru moved past her and pushed Taro back into the house
"...well, not so good for you really..."

Taro dodged free of the male, yelling in alarm and darting for the door.

Hikaru reached out and snatched at the back of his shirt, dragging him back
One of the boys, Hiroku, followed smirking and brandishing a pipe wrench.
the others laughed and walked inside, leaving someone to watch out front.

Hikaru smiled at Taro again
"Leaving so soon? I think we need to have a little talk with you sweetie..."

Taro backed up desperately, face whitening in panic as his wide eyes darted from the pipe wrench to Hikaru. "I almost have it." He said quickly. "I just need some more time-"

Hikaru shook her head sadly
"Oh I'm sorry darlin' but you don't have anymore time."
Kitamaru pulled out a switchblade from his back pocket

Taro swore and bolted, adrenaline spiking in his system. Well he'd really don it this time hadn't he? The blonde dove for the door, crying out for help, for anyone that could hear him.

Hiroku slammed his fist into the blondes gut and kicked him as he fell.

Dropping instantly to the floor, Taro clutched his chest and rolled onto his side, coughing and gasping for air. Something had cracked, and now his chest was searing with pain. Hee struggled into a half-upright position. "Just another day." He begged through gasps, eyes wide with fear.

Hiroku pulled him to his feet, twisting his arm behind his back and dragging him infront of Hikaru again, holding him in place.

All good humour in her expression was gone and she backhanded Taro across the face with much force.
"We have had nothing but patience with you."

His breaths shuddered as he turned his head to look back at Hikaru. "I can't just come up with that amount of money. I almost have it, just a few more days, please!" He twisted slightly as if to free himself form the muscle man's grasp.

Hikaru clutched his jaw in one hand and held him in place
"Time's up..."
and Kitamaru punched him in the head

Taro sagged to the floor with a soft cry, only held upright by the hand holding his arms in a vice-like grip. Luke would be back soon. He would be back, and they would have to leave. Through the pain thrumming through his skull, he latched onto that. Luke would be back in time.

Hiroku tied Taro to a chair and went and stood by the window

Kitamaru fiddled with the knife in anticipation,

Hikaru leaned down to the boys level
"Where is our money Taro? do you have it?"

He strained against the ropes binding his arms and legs to the chair, making a noise of hopeless frustration. "I have half of it." He said, once he realized they were about to prompt for an answer. "Half of it. I can get the rest." The blonde's words were rushed, panicked.

Hikaru straightened, her expression displeased
"Hmm, not good.... Think we should teach him a lesson boys?"

The men behind Taro snickered and the sound of knives being unsheiths and pipewrenches hefted

Hikaru patted his hair, "It seems you need a reminder about punctuality my friend."

Taro jerked his head away from her hand, tugging at his arms, trying to free them. "No, don't! I can get it!" He was drawing sharp breaths of air, a sheen of sweat forming on his skin. He couldn't get out! He grasped the arms of the chair and forced his breathing to calm, if only a fraction. "My bodyguard will be back in a minute." He said, voice small.
