Back to ze past

There was struggling in the allyway behind the brothal. There was soft cries and groans. A man was bleeding out slowly and a woman was the one bleeding him. It was the odd change of events and the reversal of roles that really had the man frightened. This girl was beautiful and dressed in the most expensive of forgin clothes. When this beautiful being looked his way with a suggestive smile, the man had thought he had struck gold. But when they went into the back ally and she broke the kiss, he knew he had been tricked.
A knife was placed at his neck and she was speaking in tongues as his fear grew. She smirked at this and the mans breath was cut short as the knife sliced across his neck.
This where he was now, against the wall and gasping for breath as she bled him slowly.

The last thing he saw as he slid to the ground was the beautiful woman smirk and wipe the blood that got onto her mouth. She slid down and lent in, her eyes watching his as they faded of life.
She pressed her lips to his and felt him go limp. She smirked and stood, leaving the mans corpose in her wake as she walked away, wiping the blood from her hands.

Elizabeth awoke and went to roll over, only to find a small bundle curled into her side. She smiled softly and looked down to her son. Alexander hadn't been sleeping well since the incident.

Mori was already up, and was sitting at the table finishing off some left over bread for breakfast.

Rhun didn't want to leave his room, feeling rather bad about his small arguments that kept popping up between him and his mum. But eventually he got up, words of apologies ready for the wowman on the other side of the door. Only when he opened it it was Mori aat the table not Elizabeth like he had thought it might be. He scowled and Mori scowled back. Best way to teach kids about facial expressions, in his opinion.

Elizabeth sat up and wrapped her son in his covers before walking out, just the same time as Evelyn

"Morning." Mori said, nodding at them and then looking back to his bread. He never had managed to settle back into living with people after all the trouble he'd caused, it really was still awkward for him. "Sleep well?" He decided to ask.

Rhun got himself a drink and sat down.

Elizabeth smiled and nodded. "Fine thank you. Dd you sleep at all?"

Evelyn avoided his gaze and sat down

"Yeah. I slept." He said, casting Evelyn a small glance before looking back to Elizabeth. "I'm going to be out for quite a while today. Lots of boats were comissioned, so I'll be there longer to help move everything. I'll get paid well though."

Elizabeth smiled at him again. "I really do appreciate what your doing for us."

"It's fine." He said, giving Elizabeth a small smile. "Get to use energy, wasn't doing much before." Lack of fighting had been making him twitch. He was a trained soldior, and he really got bored far too quickly doing anything that didn't revolve around practicing and using his abillities, or training others how to fight. It got so monotenous. But he owed this family. And going out looking for a fight would get him nowhere.

"So, if I'm late back, that's wher eI am is all. I'll keep an ear out in case something happens." He stood up.

"We'll see you soon." Elizabeth nodded. "I'll leave some food out for you."

"Thanks. See you later." He said and walked out, shutting the door behind him.

He made for the boathouse, arms crossed and eyes hard. Sure, the job gave him something to do, but towns were just something that set him on edge. Too many people with too many ulterior motives. Half of which were impossible to guess. Not to mention the random killings that had been going on.

But they needed money, and he needed a distraction, so the job was a nessecary item. He strode down the street and ignore the calls of merchants and fisherwives as he wove through the early crowd.

A woman watched from the shadows. She smirked when she saw Mori there. Perfect, one of the few left alive. Now, all she had to do was lure him in and the way he was going and the way she looked, that would be easy.

Mori stopped when he got closer to the boathouse to give himself a moment to commit to hours of boredom. Hours of boredom, or the taver, hours of boredom, or the tavern... Sorely needed hours of boredom and money, tavern...

Tavern.

Wait, no. No. He would go to work. He would. Then why was he walking towards the tavern?

He shrugged and decided to roll with it. He wouldn't be that late.

The woman waited till he was a good distance before disapearing into the tavern.

Drinks, women everywhere, drinks... Mori gave a grin, looking appreciatively around the room. Then one caught his eye. He watched her over the top of the mug and smiled smugly. Hadn't seen her before. And she was pretty. She stood out far more than half of the other ones around here. He snorted to himself and went back to enjoying his drink. Except he had responsibilities now, and- How could he say that with a ddrink in his hand?

God it'd been ages sincehe'd had a good long drink of... anything alcoholic. Good stuff. Best thing to have before a long day of carting timber around as if he were spome kind of dumb mule.

The woman smiled and licked her lips. She casually and flirtagously bit her bottom lip and walked over to the man with the drink. She held her skirts so her walk seemed more graceful. "You busy handsome?" She asked softly.

"Well..." Mori mentally shrugged and looked her over appreciatively. "Maybe I'm not."

The woman looked him over as well and smiled more flirtgously. She lent in closer and touched his arm. "Well, ifyour not, woulf you like to be?"

Work was so not an important event of the day. "Sounds good to me." He said simply, throwing caution to the winds. "Did you want a drink, or?"

"I can have a drink." The woman smiled.

Mori ordered her a drink, and himself another when he realized it as nearly empty. With that taken care of he launched into complimenting the beauty sitting next to him.

The woman cast him a small suggestive look before taking an elegant sip of her drink.

"Any plans for... once you finish that drink?" Mori asked not long later.

"I guess, I'm just playing it by ear." The woman said, her voice silky.

"Lets play by ear then." Mori said, leaning closer to her for a moment before rising from his chair and watching her as he paid for the drink and moved to leave the tavern.
