Shade wasn't sure of how long they'd been left to rest, but obviously the human's need for sleep didn't quite asert itself in the demons. His hand had been unbound and the gag removed but with sharp words from the Kitsune - seemingly the leader. Elizabeth was once again unceremoniously picked up but Shade was prodded over towards Taro. Finally understanding, his mouth set in grim horror. they wanted him to help Taro walk. In retrospect, it might be better than him being bounced around on his chest all day... He hesitantly moved to Taro's side, quietly murmuring apologies before he pulled Taros arm around his shoulder.

Taro stiffened in pain and closed his eyes tightly as Shade helped him up, swaying, sweat already forming on his brow. "Come on. Just keep awake" Shade said softly, so the demons wouldn't become angry at his speaking again. Taro managed a small nod and, like that, the procession continued, Shade more than half dragging the fool alongside him.

Hikaru crept throught the deep forest until she came across a small clearing
where she waited for sunset.

as the sun sank a shadow passed over the clearing
the kitsune looked up as a karasu fell from the sky and landed in front of her.

"Konbanwa" she greeted happily

Kuroshi folded his wings in and turned to face her

"where have you been?!! I've been looking every where for you!"

"Calm Kuroi! I'm okay"

"answer the question" he said in a strained voice

"I told you when i left! I went back to the kitsune."

"why?"

Hikaru's face fell
"Satori's started a war. the Kurohyou have invaded the Kitsune lands, Onii-dono's lands"

"Oh you have got to be kidding me! you seriously think i'd fall for that?!"

she rose an eyebrow
"then where did i get these clothes?" she jestured to her formal attire

"..."

"come with me! I have to go back before my brother notices I'm gone."

"no freakin' way! your staying right here!"

hikaru scowled and rummaged in one of her vast sleeves
she threw a fine powder over him and ignited it

when the flames receeded Kuroi was in his raven form and was looking quite disturbed
"what the hell just happened?"

"shh! no talking for you!" Hikaru gathered him up and returned to the Kitsune camp
much to the relif of her axious twin

"whats with the bird" Koaru asked

"an old friend" she replied simply

Itashi saw to it that the Prisoners were unceremoniously thrown into the palace dungeons
in seperate cells (mostly) the injured pair in one, the half wit in another, the feline across the corridor and the others scattered accordingly

Now all was left was to wait for the lord's return

A scream ripped through the small antechamber and abruptly turned to fitful sobbing.
"Dorei, get up" Shamei commanded, flicking the chain that linked her wrist and the priestess' neck. Yuni scrambled unsteadily to her feet, tears coursing down her cheeks. She regarded the demoness with sheer panic and opened her mouth to speak.
"Don't talk back. Know your place!" Shamei snapped, yanking the chain hashly. Yuni grabbed for her neck as the metal collar tightened, wincing heavily. "Do as I say and you won't have to be punished!"

Yuni smiled cheerfully at the morbid panther demon. She was still exhilerated that she'd finally found someone; she had returned to the caverns to find everything crumbling dangerously, the huts annihilated and everyone simply gone. Since then she'd been keeping a constant vigil on checking the surrounding areas... just in case someone returned from wherever they went. In the period of time that they'd been gone, she had honed her priestess skills, becoming far stronger than she had been before.

So naturally, when she sensed a demon in the immediate area when she was returning from a nearby shrine, she knew she wasn't wrong. Still... She glanced again at Mori. He had been extremely difficult to persuade that he was, yes, actually alive and that he wasn't in some kind of dream state. She shook her head as he pointedly looked away from her.

He had also been rather tight-lipped about what had happened to them, and all Yuni had learned was that they had crossed to the future somehow - divine interference, her mind supplied - and that it had ended in nearly all of them dead. Sounded like such fun. But, she was just glad to learn that not everyone was dead.

Yuni felt the intrusion upon her powers and braced herself against her tormenter's steel will, staring her straight in the eyes. Shamei rose an eyebrow and pain laced suddenly through Yuni's entire body. The priestess was once again reduced to a sobbing wreck on the floor and Shamei snorted her disdain. "This will only be harder on you if you keep fighting me!" She warned, smirking lightly as she tapped the fine chain that connected the collar around Yuni's neck and the small bracelet cinched around her wrist. As soon as Yuni begged for it to stop, the pan vanished and Shamei smiled sinisterly. "Shall we try that again?"

"What is it?" Yuni asked between coughs, glancing sidelong at Mori. "Kitsunes" He answered the sick human, looking rather cautious. It was common knowledge that the two species had recently broken out in disputes, becoming slowly more aggressive.
"Many?" Mori nodded. Yuni drew an arrow, hoping that they wouldn't need to fight. Her powers had been a little off for the last week.

Try as she might, Mori didn't seem to understand that sleeping outside in the rain wasn't good for humans. The scenario didn't quite work out the way she had planned, a large group of Kitsune cresting the hill; obviously rushing to get somewhere. Too bad they noticed them. It didn't last long. Mori was pretty much swarmed upon by the Kitsune warriors whilst trying to protect Yuni. She heard him yelling something before everything went black.

The next two weeks passed in a blur; Yuni lost contact with mori, seeing him in passing only occasionally, and not managing even a word of communication. She had been offered to a Kitsune studying power repression. She had recently developed a chain which, when connected to both the victim and the master, could enable the one in control to access the power of the victim and punish or reward them through their mind. This was all without truly causing them harm. Through this, Shamei claimed she could 'tame' anyone neccecary, and gain control over their powers.

Yuni was the test case.

A few hours later, Yuni was curled on a rug on the floor of the room she was curently living in. It was a small antechamber from her 'master's' room, and the door was unlocked. The bracelet hung on a small hook on the wall, and the collar was still secured around Yuni's neck, the chain dangling against the wall and yet she dared not touch it. Yuni buried her face in her hands and curled up in the foetal position, silent tears of misery teacking down her cheeks.

Elizabeth groaned as her eyes flutted open. Her legs hurt and her head... She didn't know what was going on.
"Shade?" She asked quietly.

Amaterasu glared at the men behind her. They had deemed her dangerous and thus refused to remove her binds.
She was tied but not gaged and if she could get closer the men would find themselves missing a large chunk of their arm.

Amaterasu turned and head butted the man closet too her before kicking out at the guard to her side.

((At least let there be a bit of a fight, Amas gotten better at fighting.))

((I don't think lizzy would be much of a fighter in her condition and we don't want Shade to get his nickers in a twist...yet))

A guard behind her shoved her roughly
"Pipe down Hybrid!" he shouted

Amaterasu spun and kicked him in the jaw before falling to the ground, managing to perfectly cut her retsraints on a sword pointed at her.
Looking about she low kicked the closet Kistune.
"Hybrid?" Amaterasu scoffed. "Like you Foxes are any better."

in an instant the other guards came running swords drawn, fangs beared

The downed Kitsune stood rubbing his jaw "At least we are of one species and not some hybrid freak!"
another kitsune attempted to bash her over the head but missed and got her shoulder

Amaterasu didn't flinch, though her shoulder obviously felt pain.
She hissed out and kicked away before jumping on the heads of a few soilders and running over them.
