Momiji, who had been trying to explain away her tail and wings to the wary children so as they might let her play,
was somewhat disheartened and glad when her parents returned.

"C'mon sweetie, lets get going. trail to follow, people to find."
Hikaru picked her up and they walked away from the village, loosely following the groups scent.

"Mama? Can you teach me to be human?" the girl asked

Hikaru toussled her hair, "We'll work on your metamorphosis later"

she nodded and retreated to her thoughts for a while

"Come on, let's go" Mori said, kicking dirt over the remains of their fire and glaring around at the others. He was currently suffering a rather insistent hangover headache. He wasn't a happy camper. Taro was grinning ear to ear, just waiting for an oportunity to abuse that fact.

Yuki stood up and had to help Wuu up to. It seemed the old man didn't quite have it in him today.

Amaterasu cleared her throat. "And where will we be going?"

Mori wove a hand at Taro who, slipping back into his normal smile, informed her that they would be going due north... or 'that way' with a jab of his hand.

Amaterasu nodded.

Yuki held the still sleeping Wuu in his arms. "Come on, lets get moving."

Mori picked up his pace to put some distance between himself ad the potential noise-makers. Taro didn't walk with Mori, he let himself fall behind and walked at the back of the group. Sadaharu had tied his hair back and was grimacing slightly, thinking over Yuki's request whilst Raven follwed alongside Yuki, keeping an eye on Wuu.

Amaterasu fiddled with her own hair as she whislted a little, feeling in better spirits today than she had for a long time.

Yuki looked to Raven. "Think you could hold him?"

"Yeah" Raven lifted Wuu from Yuki's arms and held him so as not to wake the old man. "I've got him."

Yuki tried to hide the worry filling him as he stepped away from Wuu.

The old monk startedto stir but didn't not wake.

Raven's face was drawn as he muttered something to the monk, moving him so as to jostle him less as they moved.

Amaterasu stood next to Sadaharu. "How many vials do you have left?"

"None." He said, lookeing to her briefly. "I said I was go- that I had stopped." He turned to look ahead, waiting for her to rant again, if she felt like it.

"Well good, than we have no problems do we?" Amaterasu said, she took a few steps in front of im.

"Good to hear, seemed to be a different story last night" He commented dryly, blaming his headache for his sudden urge to get the last word.

"Oh really? Because it seemed to me like you had lied for a long time." Amaterasu replied just as Drly. "When we first reconciled, I do believe I asked about whether or not you were taking the drugs did I not?"

Sadaharu sisn't answer this time, his grimace deepened and he continued to walk.

"Thats what I thought." She muttered to herself as she kept walking.

Yuki stepped up to Mori.

Mori nodded absently at Yuki, crossing his arms. "If this next one has been eaten by something, I swear... How's your head recovering?"

Sadaharu's nostrils flared. "You know, I did everything I could to keep that from affecting you, now that's i've stopped, I don't see why you have to bring it back up."

"Because you never once thought about how your actions would effect me!" Amaterasu snapped, rounding on him this time. "All this time it was abou you! I Need the drugs and I Did what I thoughts was right. me me me. What about me?! I lived through this once. You seeking drugs to hide your own problems. I loved you! I love you and you act like what I feel is nothing more than a simple chemical reaction. Like it doesn't matter. All that matters is how you feel and what you can take to change that."

Yuki shrugged. "What happened to my head?" He smirked.

Wuu woke and shifted in the arms that held him.

"You cracked it open" Mori said, raising an eyebrow and smirking slightly. "Good to hear."

Raven looked down to the monk. "Try and sleep if you can." Raven said, glancing back up. "I warned you about late nights" He joked in a rather serious voice. Hey, he tried.

"So what if that's the way it was, it's not now! I know it was wrong, I couldn't help what I was doing then. Now I'm in control again and I'm not about to go and take something like that again. Do you ever consider that simply deciding to do something like... oh, staying in the safe zone perhaps is harder to do once you've done it before?" He said irritably. "So I'm off them, I don't need them anymore and I shouldn't be bothering you anymore."

Yuki gave a wide grin. "I'll always be back on my feet. I'm a rat remember."

Amaterasu was frozen, her eyes widend. "Are you breaking up with me?"

"I honestly thought that was what you wanted." Sadaharu said, crossing his arms. "Seeing as everything's about me, why would you want to be dragged under in my self-centered exploits?"

"Yeah, yeah. Damned rodents" He said with a shake of his head. "So what brings you to the front of the procession?" He quizzed. "Hopefully it was to tell me that there's a tavern nearby?"

"Come on, just rest for a bit. Tell me if you need me to stop" He said and cast a worried glance over the old monk.
