"Yes?" Kaoru looked up "what is it?"

"Why are you packing?" He asked just as quietly.

Kaoru crouched down to the boys level
"We're going to move soon, visit some family that live far away"

Naoki shook his head, the speed increasing with each shake. Tears poured over his lids.

Kaoru hugged his son
"Aww don't cry! It'll be alright"

Rhun slumped back down at the table and looked to his mother. "Can we eat yet? Is there bread?"

Rin smiled. "That it is. I must say... It is a demon friendly village, but we've never had any foreigners or demons stay this long before. I'm quite suprised really."

Sadaharu sighed happily. "It's stunning, but," He looked up at him shyly and blushed. "But something else has caught my attention."

Taro rose an eyebrow. "I don't hunt for my food, that's just plain rude." He poked out his tongue. "I'd rather not. I'm fine thank you." He turned to Kuroi. "You've been silent!" He ginned. "Strong silent type, eh? Kuroi... Bit boring. What about.. Kuro-myuu, or Kurgi!"

Naoki sob into his fathers shoulder. "I don't want to go."

Elizabeth smiled softly. "Sometimes some things are better left for secret, rather then story." She cut her son a piece of bread.

"And what's that?" Yuki asked, kissing the boys neck gently.

Kaoru patted him on the back
"Leaving is hard, I know. maybe we can come back some time to visit?"

Naoki broke free of his fathers arms and ran from the house.

Kuroi's eyes flashed,
Taro suddenly found himself pinned to a tree with a large, ominous-looking
hunting knife pressed to his throat
"My name. Is Kuroi."

Kaoru called after him
"Naoki! come back! Naoki!"
but he didn't follow for long, he figured it would do no good

Naoki ran even when his legs were sore. He didn't stop running until he ran into a pair of legs. He held onto them tight andkept sobbing.

Hotaru droped to her knees and pulled Naoki back, looking at him. "Come Child, whathas you so upset?"

Kaoru sighed and went back to packing

Rin nodded in acceptance of this, taking a bite of the fruit served up. Rhun tore into the bread and only realized mid-mouthful that his father was looking at him with an affronted expression. "Did i raise you like a dog?" Rhun shook his head solemnly and continued to eat in bites that he could fit in his mouth.

"I'll give you three guesses." Sadaharu murmured. "And it's not part of the scenery." He ran his hands over Yuki's shoulders.

The knife flashed as it spun into the air and Mori released Kuroi's arm. "Watch it-" Before he could even start a possibly dangerous argument, Taro threw his arms around Mori and pouted at Kuroi. "He's bullying me!" Mori seemed to draw on some kind of etheral energy to stay calm and dislodged the vampire.

"Wha~! Don't leave me alone with Kuro-tan!" He grinned madly.

Evelyn sat back at the table, covered in dirt.

Elizabeths mouth fell open. "I don't know what sort of woman raised you think raised you, but I raised a girl to be clean before she ate. Go wash yourself. How did you even become so dirty?"

Evelyn glared to her brother and moved off to clean.

Yuki smiled softly. "If I say me do I get a kiss?" he asked softly.

Hikaru pushed Kuroi back a few steps looking furious
she scolded him in what sounded like Kitsune dialect with a bit of Karasu thrown in
he muttered something and she made a threatening gesture and pointed to Taro then Mori

Takeo grinned, he alwasy thought it was funny when Hikaru yelled at Kuroi.
especially since he was a good head-and-shoulders taller than her

Kuroi turned into a Raven and flew off, Hikaru walked back to where Taor and Mori were standing
"Sorry about that. I should have warned you that he's a bit tempremental at the mo."

Rhun gave a smug smile and, avoiding his mother's eyes, quickly shoved more food into his mouth. Rin couldn't help but laugh at this. Children. What a handful.

"Why don't you try it?" Sadaharu asked softly, angling his head to the side and smiling lightly.

Taro beamed. "He's forgiven, I think Mori-neko's lack of manners made him angry."
"I think you'd better shove those nickname right up-"
"Whaa~ There are children here!" taro exclaimed. 'Watch your language, kitty-san."

"I'd say the thing that caught your eye, ist he adorable, beautiful and charming Rat that has also caught your heart." He smiled softly. "And who's heart was caught in return."
Yuki kissed him.

Elizabeth rolled her eyes and sat down, buttering her own bread.

Momiji raised an eyebrow
and pointed to Taro "Anata wa Yowamushi"

Hikaru hissed at her
and Takeo laughed "she's her fathers daughter allright"

Taro just laughed. "She's a quick one, she is. Maybe the three of them should discuss insults!" He winked at Hikaru to assure her that he was rather unbothered by, well anything. and kept walking, a bounce in his step.

By the time night struck, Taro's flighty antics had lessened, and Mori grimly decided to call it rest time. They weren't getting anywhere, but he wanted so desperately to see if he could fine something, anything that could help him find his little girl.

His murderous, insane, little girl that was all he had left of his and Satori's life together.

Momiji was still suspicious of the panther
and thus slept in a tree that night, where she could keep an eye on him
Kuroi still hadn't returned and Hikaru was starting to look worried
Takeo had ducked out for about an hour, for his much anticipated hunting trip
and returned in high spirits

It was if a jolt went through the dirt. A jolt like nothing else.

The trees itself groaned and seemed to stand still. They didn't even whisper. They wouldn't dare.

Power filled the air, power, fear, hatred, greed and lust. A blood lust. Revenge lust.

The dirt shifted as a hand broke free. Then a body.

The body smirked and stood to its full height. It was a girl.

She smirked and made her way to the river close by. She dipped herself into the cool depths, washing away the dirt and dry blood.
Markings covered her skin. Words on her breasts and stomach while pattersn covered her arms and face.

She smirked and looked up into the sky, taking in a deep breath.

Taro and Mori sat side by side, the blonde holding Mori's slashed wrist to his mouth. The panther looked to the sky as Taro drank, having long since become used to this procedure. Even if Taro still didn't relish biting him, the scars marring both arms proof of how often he had to force him to take his blood.
