"I don't know." Elizabeth whispered, her voice sounding broken. "I really don't know."

Taro stood up and walked over to her, bringing her into his arms. "Don't worry. I'm sure she'll pull through." Taro said softly.

Elizabeth leaned onto the fool, her eyes closed. "I really hope so."

"She will, I'm sure she will." He said fondly, stepping back and squeezing her shoulder. He really just wanted to keep huggging her - she looked like a wreck - but he didn't want to push himself. "She's a strong girl."

"She's only a baby." Elizabeth whispered. "A child of 6, how can she live through something like this?" She covered her mouth.

"Elizabeth," Taro murmured, tucking her hair behind her ear. "Don't give up on her, she's not giving up, so you shouldn't."

"I'm not giving up on her!" Elizabeth said strongly, she gripped her heart. "I was just hoping if I said it outloud it would lessen the pain."

"She's a lot like you, she'll pull through." He said firmly. "Shade thinks he's slown it down, right? That's good. With someone like him, she should be fine."

"Your right." Elizabeth gave him a forced smile. "She'll be fine. It'll all be ok."

Taro sighed softly. "That's all we can do." He said and held his throat. "Sorry to seem short."

"Your hungry arnt you." Elizabeth said. "Thirsty sorry. Want me to try and get Mori?"

"If you could, that'd be great." He said with a small smile. "I think he's mad at me for something. I'm..." Taro trailed off, choosing not to mention just how clearly he could smell every drop of blood running under her skin. He dropped his head into his hands as his eyes darkened in colour.

Eizabeth knocked on Mori's door before slowly walking inside.

Mori looked up from where he sat on the edge of his bed. "Elizabeth. Hey, you need something?" He asked, putting down his nearly empty bottle of sake.

"Mori, I really need you to do this for me." She said, bending down infrotn of him. She touched his knee. "I need you to let Taroo feed, please."

Mori sighed. "Yeah, yeah. I know." He said and looked over to the door, fiddling with the sake bottle. "Fine. I will." He said and stood up.

Elizabeth stood abd wrapped her arms around him from behind. "Thank you." She whispered.

"Don't mention it." Mori muttered, stepping away from her and walking into the main room. "Hey, you're thirsty." the demon stated. Taro looked over and nodded. "Thanks Mor-"
"Come on." He walked into Taro's room and half closed the door behind him.

He bared his scarred arm and held it out for Taro, jaw set and eyes fixed on the wall. The blonde took the proffered arm and kept his eyes from Mori, grimacing slightly before sinking his fangs into Mori's arm. Mori didn't say a single word, just stared at the wall as Taro drank. Somehow the proximity made him feel worse. He didn't even know what he might have done!

After a time, when he had taken what he needed, he released Mori's arms and dabbed the blood on his lips as Mori turned for the door. "Wait." Taro started.
"Sorry, I'm going to the tavern." Mori said sharply and then strode from the house. Taro crossed his arms and walked out to the living room, just in time to see Mori exit the house.

Elizabeth looked as Mori left, then back to taro.

"That went well." He said with a smile. Rhun walked out just then, rubbing his eyes and yawning. "Mummy, I'm hungry." He stated, walking over to hug her legs. Taro leaned against the wall.

Elizabeth lifted her son onto her hip. "Are you my baby?" She asked, smiling softly, She bounced him on her hip as she walked to the kitchen. "And what do you want."

Evelyn whined in the back of her throat, her eyes closing tighter.

"Don't know, something. Bread?" He asked hopefully, playing with her hair.

Shade pressed a cool cloth on her forehead and brushed he rhair back. "Hey sweetie, it's alright." He murmured. "You awake Eve?"

"Daddy." Evelyn coughed, she opened one eye to look at him. "I don't feel good."

Elizabeth kissed his cheek. "We only have yesterdays, is that ok?"

"Yo'll be okay." He said with a small smile. Come on, sit up a bit." He said and moved her forwards so he could slip anotherpillow behind her. "Try and drink some of this, alright? It shouldn't taste too bad, it should help you feel a bit better." He held a cup to her lips, feverently hoping he'd finally done something right.

"That's good." Rhun said, nodding. Taro sat down at the table and picked up the piece of wood he had been carving lately, turning it in his hands. Rhun discarded all of his attempted manners when he was given some leftover bread and made as if to put the entire slice into his mouth. Taro smiled in amusement at the child's bulging cheeks.

Elizabeth puther son down onto the bench and squeezed his cheeks together. "Whats this? Someone close a door on your face?" She smirked.

Evelyn tried to drink it, and ended up choaking.
