Back to ze past

Hearing the gunshots from afar, Saiyu turned and looked back towards the clearing. Torn between protecting the child and investigating the problem, he wavered, eventually deciding to merely watch, keeping hidden and hopefully safe, he made his way back to the clearing.

Rhun made a noise of panic and covered his mouth so he didn't laugh and spit bread everywhere, eyes bright. "Don't bite off more than you can chew." Taro said with a small smile. Rhun gulped down the bread and poked out his tongue at Taro. "I've got better table manners than Uncle Mori, he's messy." He protested. Taro laughed and nodded.
"Very." He said and pulled out a small carving knife, cutting a chip out of the so far shapeless lump of wood.

Naoki opened his mouth and yawned, snuggling into the boys side.

Elizabeth smiled and lent back. "But you were almost messy there."

Reaching the clearing Saiyu couldn't help but let out a muffled gasp at the sight before him.
Two men were attacking Anei, Kietsu and Mentaro and it didn't look like the fight was going in favour of his mishappen family.

The blonde man fight with his Youbo and her disarmed and was advancing towards her, blade pointed at he throat, Kietsu and Mentaro unable to reach her thanks to the barrage of bullets.

"Youbo!" He cried, placing the child on the ground and throwing his own weopon, catching the man offguard and knocking his blade out of his hands.

Mentaro froze and looked to the small boy.

Yuki lifted Zetsubou into his arms. He looked into the pale face of his once was lover. A small smile covered his lips.

At least this one was alive.

Carring the pather bridal style, Yuki et on finding Anei and the rest of them.

"Youbo!" Saiyu practically sobbed as he ran to Anei's side, checking to make sure she wasn't hurt.

Mentaro stuck his tongue out to the attackers.

Frowing Sekkou stared at the boy infront of him age Saiyu about 6 years and...well. He wasn't expecting him to be like this.

For once at a loss of words, he just stared at his kid brother as he consoled the demon.

Mentaro rushed over to Saiyu. "Do you know him?" He whispered, his finger pointing manically. "He looks like he knows you."

Sitting up from where she had falled Anei gave Mentaro a somewhat incredulous look, opening her mouth to answer she was cut off by the stranger;

"Have you not been listening to anything that we said!?"

"You open your mouth, I close my ears!" Mentaro snapped, he fell to his knee's, his hands over his ears. "I can't have such foul voices poisining such a mind! Now begone!" he jumpe to his feet. "You make small children cry!"

A little taken back by the demons rant, Sekkou narrowed his eyes at him.

"Hey...didn't you have an army?"

"Have. I have an Army." Mentaro crossed his arms and pouted. "Its just a little deflated! Why, do you want to be in it?" He looked hopefull.

Naoki continued his cry which started only moments after Mentaro first snapped.

Walking further into the clearing and trying to ignore the extremely pissed off bear, Takai stood next to his partner.

"I think you may have made the child cry." he drawled before turning his attention to the boy.

"hello Saiyu."

Frowing Saiyu stared up at the two men, "umm...Youbo...who are they?", this statement alone caused Sekkou to nearly collapse in shock.

"What!?"

"Who are you?"

"But I--You!..ARGH!"

Smirking to herself, Anei found a way to rectify the situation.

"We found him after he was attacked by a demon...He had a concussion and couldn't remember anything except his own name."

"So you kept him!?" Sekkou cried, causing Anei to frown.

"Well we couldn't exactly leave him on his own could we?"

"...Youbo?" Saiyu called, getting Anei's attention.

"Who are tehy and how do they know me."

"Oh um..." She paused here, trying to figure out how to word it.

"I'm your brother!" Sekkou snapped, glaring at Anei.

(( THERE. FINALLY. *huffs* ))

"hey look, family!" Mentaro pushed the boy towards the other humans. "You go with them, and I go... This way!"
He started to run off.

Absent mindedly Anei grabbed his collar and yanked him back, still staring at the demon hunters.

"Your my what!?" Saiyu cried, Anei couldn't help but shake her head, looks like everyone was finding random family members today.

Mentaro choaked and because of the force, fell onto his back.

Shade rubbed Evelyn's back, placing the cup down. "Oh sweetie, are you feeling any better today than you were yesterday?" He asked, bringing her into his lap and tracing a hand over her face.

Rhun poked out his tongue. "Let me down. I'm going to go make treehouse for Eve."

Evelyn shook her head and buried her head into his chest. "I don't feel good Pa."

Elizabeth put him down. "Just don't fall out."

"You'll be fine" Shade said, hugging her close. "Don't worry." He said and gave her a smile. He wasn't worried, he was panicking.

Rhun nodded before practically flying out of the room.

Evelyn nodded and coughed a little. She held onto him tight as her eyes slowly closed again.

Elizabeth smiled softly, watching him run from the room.

"BROTHER!" Sekkou snapped, "Why is this so shocking!? And why the hell are you hanging out with demons!?"

"Sekkou" Takai started, but was cut off by Saiyu,

"Why am I so shocked!? Why!? Because if you were listening, I didn't even remeber I had a brother!"

Kietsu, somewhat bewildered, couldn't help but think to himself that they certainly acted like brothers.

Mentaro scrambled to his feet, gorlwing angrily. He dusted himself off and went to leave again.
