Back to ze past

Shade wove Amaterasu over, smiling. "Come one, it's warmer here." He offered, trying to lift the tension in the air.

Taro grinned. "Poor thing. You did get half the answer though. I'm not a demon and I'm not human. There. Nice and simple for you." He said, grinning. "And I think we're nearly even in knowlege of one another's pasts." He said, crossing his arms and beaming.

She scowled at him, unable to understand a word he said but understand the gester. She moved over slowly.

"Your a trixter you are." Yuki scoffed.

Growling angrilly the black panther bowled over the larger demon, catching it by surprise as fangs ripped into the beasts neck.

Waiting a few short moments to make sure it was truly dead, the panther turned back to the boy, and it's body rippled and elongengated so that soon a boy in his late teens was standing infront of Saiyu.

"B-Brother?" He muttered before passing out. In a moment the teen was bent over the boy, checking his pulse. When he found it was stable he pulled the boy into his lap and started rocking and humming.

Shortly a much smaller golden panther bounded into the clearing, not bothering to change form this one merely paused, glancing first at the fallen demon then at her companion.

"Zet" She growled, grabbing the others attention, "What happened here?"

Instead of answering, in words Zetsubou just sterd pointedly at the demon then at the boy in his arms, earning a gasp from Anei as she realised he as injured. Changing forms she groped in her ever present pouch and started pulling out bandages.

Aproaching the other she pausing a scant metre off, shaking slightly fromt he proximity.

"Zet...you need to put him down" Anei muttered, earning a sharp nod from Zetsubou, who immediately put the boy down and backed off several meters.

"Okay." Anei muttered under her breath, "Clean. Bandage. Simple enough." With shaking fingers she started cleaning off the blood, but she cursed when she realised it would need stitches. Healing was not her forte'.

Pulling her needle and thread out, she started knitting the flesh back together, trying to ignore the now almost constant whining coming from her brothers direction. After she'd done so, she wrapped the arm in guaze that she was lucky to have retained from her trip to the future.

Sighing in relief, Anei rolled back onto her heels and smiled to the unconcious form.

"All better! See didn't hurt that much" Scooping up the boy, she continued talking to his limp body, "It'll heal in no time, you just see! Though what I'm going to do with you...well I guess at least I'll have someone to have a normal conversation with." At this she glanced guiltilly up at her brother, but he seemed preoccupied with his surroundings.

"Well..." Anei mutter pushing back his rain soaked fringe, "You look kinda familiar..."

"Barely" He replied. "I want to learn thhis language of yours." Taro said suddenly.

Shade made sure he did nothing to make her overly wary and placed both of his hands before the flames.

Yuki smirked. "Sure your up to it?"

Amaterasu grabbed his chin and forced him to look at her. She held his head high as she looked about his face.

Shade allowed this intrusion of his personal space with a straight face, keeping his eyes on her as she scrutinized him. Yes, very different cultures.

Taro flashed his teeth in a smile. "We've got all night and I want to learn the basic language. So the question is, are you?."

Amaterasu ran her thumb ober his cheeks and mouth, she let his face drop as she put another log into the fire.

Yuki smirked. "I'm not a good teacher."

"Language. Now." He said, folding his hands under his chin.

Yuki sighed and started to teach him the basics.

Shade rose an eyebrow at that but helped prod the fir into life. He started to chatter to Elizabeth about nonconsequentiial things, such as the nobles at court. To him, the tension was lisfing. He didn't want to make enemies of the first people he met.

When the Morning came Amaterasu stood and stretched. "The mornings here." She stated.
Elizabeth had fallen asleep on Shades shoulder sometime in the early hours of the morning.

Yuki had fallen asleep sometime during the night.

Taro had fallen asleep sitting against the wall of the cave near tthe fire. He had moved due to his extreme dislike of the coold once Yuki dozed off. One of his legs was up against his chest, his head resting on his knee, blonde hair wafting gently in front of his face from the breeze that stirred the air of the cave.

Shade reached full wakefulness at Amaterasu's spoken words and nodded, picking up Elizabeth and placing her down on her blankets in caase she wanted to sleep in. He didn't want to risk her wrath if she didn't want to be up yet.

That thought in mind, he rummaged through his bag and produced some fruits he had dried and sealed in a small container. Them and what for breakfast?

Amaterasu shook her head at his feeble attempt at breakfast. Though it would have suited one or two people, it would not be enough for them all.
"Fish." She said before remembering he didn't speak Japanese. Sucking in her cheeks, she tried to become the animal.
Truthfully, she felt like a bit of a ninny

It did take Shade a moment to get it, but get it he did. He grinned at this and stood up, offering to help, hoping she'd get the general idea as he headed for the enterance.

Taro peered out from the hair obscuring his vision. "Fish. Fish". He said lowly before dropping his eye shut again.

Amaterasu smiled at the fool. He was getting it.
She walked outside.

Shade moved after her, trying to observe the new country as much as he could. He hadn't really been paying proper attention beforehand. It really was stunning, and unnerving in how sharply it differed from London's nature selection. He paused to examine some wild herbs, guesing at what they might be similar to.

Taro eventually stood up, brushing his hair back into order with a single run through with his fingers. He stretched his arms out and yawned silently as he wandered into the cave, intent on looking around a little more.

Amaterasu stopped and picked up a stick, as she walked she sharpend it.

Shade watched in bewilderment. Handcrafted spears. It had certainly been a while since he used one at all. The castle was pretty much in good range of other meats, it wasn't often that fish were served at the table.

Amaterasu stopped by the river and walked in some, she motioned for the man behind her to be silent before looking into the water.
Sometime later, she threw her spear in.

Taro sat down across from Elizabeth, taking a small handful of the dried fruits Shade had left unguarded. He crossed his legs and sat, watching the ash from the fire swirl every time a breeze picked up.

Shade was silent, watching Amaterasu.

Kuroshi sat in a tree while Hikaru fiddled with the hem of her Kimono irritably
"Kuroi!" she whined

"What now..."

"I wanna go home."

he raised an eyebrow at her,
"I think thats a bit beyond me."

she rolled her eyes at him,
"I meant my old home!"

"you saw what happened last time we went anywhere near them. no!"

"But Kuroi... They're not even there!!" she whined again
"we don't even know if they're alive!" she sulked/pouted

he sighed, "alright! but only for a while, then we'll find somewhere else,
that cavern is way to big for just us"

"Yay!" she jumpped up and trotted off through the trees
Kuroshi followed her reluctently

Pulling her spear out, she walked from the water. Amaterasu had cought three fish. She pointed her herself and counted one, then to him and counted two before pointing back to the cave and adding three more.
"One." She held up her thumb. "Two." Finger and thus until she reached five.
She pointed to the three fish and then back to the river. "Two more."

"Did you sleep well?" Elizabeth asked.

The night had been long and cold for Anei, and she assumed the same for Zetsubou too.

Both had given as much clothing as possible to warm the boy, but neither could find a sheltered space big enough for the three of them. The best the could find rested the boy and half of Anei's body.

The girl thought she would have been more comfortable elsewhere, but didn't want to leave the child exposed to the elements.

Come morning, the sun was shining and the ground had dried. Glancing at Zetsubou Anei dubbed it was a good day. For he had out needle and thread and was attempting to repair his own clothes. She quickly re-dubbed that thought, when he suddenly dropped his needle in favour of clutching his head and screaming.

He seemed to be in horrific pain if the way he held himself was any indication. Rising worriedly from her place outside their hollow, Anei crept closer to her brother but before she could get to close Zetsubou suddenly stopped screaming and stared at her.

It unnerved Anei, because Zetsubou's eyes were wrong. Yes they were still green like normal but now they were almost translucent. As if merely reflecting the colour off of something else.

All of a sudden Zetsubou blinked, a look of horror dawning his features before a abrubtly turned and ran into the woods.

Blinking in confusion, Anei looked after her brother before glancing back at the boy. Biting her lip she turned where she was, back to where Zet had run.

Crazy or not, Zet could take care of himself, The boy on the otherhand, could not.

Yuki awoke sometime during the morning and crept outside, not wishing to comute with the englishmen huddled by the dying fire.
Stretching he looked to the sky and started to walk, not really wanting to go anywhere.
