"Oh." He scratched his head sheepishly. "Great!" He sat down at the table and stretched his arms. "Where'd the kids go?"

Mori lunged for the Onryo but his hands went straight through the thing.

"I sent them away." Eizabeth said. "They'll be home soon."

Takeo screamed as the Onryo's hand went through his eyepatch drawing something out

it was a small coloured orb that glowed slightly

Takeo snatched at it to get it back but the Onryo was too quick

"Hikaru, do something! Mori yelled angrily as he failed at grabbing the thing yet again. "I can't touch it!"

Shade nodded. "Right."

Elizabeth sat on his lap and kissed his cheek. "They may be angry. They saw what I did."

Hikaru kicked the orb out of its hands and fired a scared arrow at point blank range, shattering the orb

The Onryo screamed and exploded

"It should work out." He said with a small smile, resting his hands on her back.

Mori staggered back fro the blinding light and then turned to look at the tree to which Taro was pinned.

Takeo lurched to his feet and followed Mori

Hikaru knelt by Kuroi and attempted to revive him

Taro's fingers twitched slightly, his eyes moving under their lids and eyebrows furrowing. Mori darted over to him, having caught the movement. He reached out to touch the blonde's cheek and Taro's head shifted.

Takeo grinned "Mornin' blondy"

Taro opened his eyes and then snapped them back shut with a soft cry of pain, one hand raising to clutch his chest just below the arrow.

Takeo grimaced "Try not to move kay? we'll get you down in a sec"

Mori swore lightly. "Hurts." Taro murmured. Mori set his jaw and reached out to touch the arrow. As ssoon as his fingers made contact with it it flashed and Mori hissed, pulling back his hand. Taro slammed the back of his head against the tree witth a sharp cry. The panther growled with fury. "You or Hikaru. Get this thing out of him. Now!"

"Cool ya jets Kurohyou. Hika!" he called over his shoulder
"The kyuuketsuki is awake"

"Sou desu ne..." she muttered and limped over to Taro
"Hold still, this won't hurt much"
she put one hand on his chest and the other around the arrow and yanked
with a flash of light the arrow came free and Trao fell to the ground

As he had just had an arrow ripped out of him, naturally, it hurt. Taro clutched the arrow wound and curled up, moaning through his teeth. Mori was by his side instantly and pulled him into his lap. Yuni hauled herself up and sat down by Kuroi, checking his wounds.

"If you ever aim something like that at him again..." Mori warned darkly, using a scrap of cloth he'd torn from his shirt to staunch the wound. Taro turned his face towards mori, clutching at his shirt.

HIkaru sat down heavily, dizzy from bloodloss
"It was nessicary, we wouldn't have if we had another choice. I do apologise Taro"

Kuroi moved to stand "The hell happened?"

"You were just posessed, attacked them and was then beaten over the head" yuni surmised, pushing him down. "So stay there." She deftly tied a bandage around his head, smiling slightly to hersefl as she fastened it into a bow at the top of his head. He would never notice. "Stay." She said again and then made her way over to the others with a roll of ever present bandages.

Taro smiled wearily, sitting up with a grimace and leaning back against Mori. The demon rose a hand to the blonde's shoulder to steady him and caught the roll of bandage Yuni tossed him with the other. "Forgiven." Taro said.

Kuroi ripped off the bandage with disdaine and walked over to Hikaru
"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'll be alright. pass the bandages yeah?"

he did so
"So how much of this was me?" he asked gesturing to the widespread distruction and many wounds adorning all present

"Hmm? Oh most of the blood stains and actual wounds was Taro, yourself and yourstruly"

"Yeah," he touched the gashes on her neck "These look like mine, I'm sorry" he said as he bandaged it "Whats Mori complaining about?"

"Oh we shot the Kyuuketsuki into a tree, he disagrees to our methods."

"Hmm... where's Momiji?"

HIkaru struggled to her feet and Kuroi helped her over to the tree where she lifted the girl from her branch
she cradled the child in her lap and attempted to revive her.
much to her parents relief Momiji sustained only minor injuires which Hika quickly delt with

Taro pulled his blood-stained shirt back on once his chest had been bandaged. Mori put the blonde's arm in a sling and then set about bandaging his shoulder where the shrikan had struck him. Taro now leaned against the baes of the tree, eyes half-lidded and chatting aimlesly with Yuni.

Hikaru sighed, wincing as her ribs complained at the motion
"We should leave as soon as we're able. we gain nothing by lingering here.
Mori, I don't know if you plan on continueing tracking your daughter but I think it would be best if you went home. You won't gain any ground on her now."

Momiji came back from the river with water and offered some to Taro

Taro smiled accepted some water, smiling at the child. "Thanks." He said softly.

Mori nodded and frowned. "I know. She's long gone. Anyway, I don't think I'd be able to go very quickly with him along." He jerked his thumb at Taro. "We should head back to the village. They were expecting us back ages ago."

she nodded "We will come with you. We need to get some more supplies anyway."

Momiji smiled at Taro and went to help Yuni

Mori nodded. "Sure."
"Oh, I just love you!" Yuni laughed, hugging momiji.

Momiji laughed and hugged her back

A few days later, they had reached the village. Taro leaned heavily on Mori as they walked, the panther with one arm around the blonde. Yuni hummed to herself as she followed them, swaying her sleeves around in front of her for entertainment.
